The Words of Making is a great follow up to The Amber Wizard. This time Gerin Atreyano the Crown Prince of Khedesh has to deal with the fearsome army of Havalqa. Thees nasty folks intend to destroy everything in their path and make the Amber Wizard their prisoner. The story moves at a reasonably fast pace and should appeal to fans of the first book in the Osserian Saga. I can't wait for the third part now.

Great book, not many authors can write a sequel that is as good as there first but 'The Words of Making' picks up greatly from the first book and in my opinion is just as good or better than 'The Amber Wizard'.

The only thing I can say against it is that the book could be longer.

If you like fantasy fiction, you'll find yourself drawn into the world and caring about the characters, identifying with them within the action. Worth reading.

Really good read.
4.0 out of 5 stars Decent book 13 Jun. 2008

This book was a decent addition to a decent series. In my opinion it was better than the first, but the author made Gavin way too powerful. It was like he could just do anything he wanted and he did. He destroys the enemy way to easy, but over all it is still a decent book.

The Havalqa are an exciting addition to the series. I've noticed that Gerin seems a smidge too powerful, but it isn't so much that it takes away from the plot.

His books have a lot of background information. This is book two. I suggest reading book one first but it's not required.
