Bought this for my little girl who is nearly 2 and mad on woolly & tig. The book is good quality and she loves reading it before bed. The story is based on an episode of wooly and tig, so you may already be familiar. It teaches tig not to be scared of the dark/ shadows. This book should last a long time and I am sure will be read over and over. I would recommend for any wolly and tig fans, especially those that are scared of the dark. Good value for money too.

Woolly and Tig are real favourites with children - including my daughter and young nephew - so I was thrilled to see some books appear. Tied in to the TV programme, this bright and colourful book includes photographs from the show. Also, like the show, it tends to address issues that are important to young children; in this case, Tig's fear of the dark. Tig's Daddy buys a lamp to go next to her bed and she loves it. Once Tig is asleep, Daddy creeps in and turns off the big light and leaves the lamp on - but, when Tig wakes up, she is scared by the shadows on the ceiling, until Woolly calms her down and explains what they are. This is a lovely, reassuring story and everything about the book is cheerful and well made - the pages are even slightly rounded, so little fingers don't get paper cuts, and little pictures of Woolly on the corners of each page, greeting your child as they turn the pages. This makes a really lovely bedtime story.

Tied in with the CBeebies TV channel this accompanying title helps children to not be afraid of the dark, explained with the colourful and fun character of Woolly the Spider and his young friend Tig. It's a wonderful photo story that helps explain about night time and lamps and how some things can appear to be scarier than they actually are. It's a solid overall story, has something great storytelling and all round is a great way to address issues that you may not quite known how to.
