Kept me intrigued and interested, waiting for disaster to suddenly happen. I wonder how true some of these incidents actually are

As mentioned, not bad. Not that bad as I am now into "Wood's Wall'. I think this will be my last read of the collection.

3.0 out of 5 stars Needs an editor 12 Jan. 2014
By DiveDocMD - Published on Amazon.com

While the storyline was interesting I kept getting hung up on spelling errors and plot inconsistencies.

You/you're. To/too. Wench/winch. Spell check is useful but it's not an editor.

Near beginning of book our hero is free diving yet he uses a regulator to fill a buoy? ( And don't you mean a lift bag.)

I know the Florida Keys are generally shallow diving (I've been there), but 400psi does not give you another half hour of diving.

Self publishing takes time and the hardest part is rereading a story that has taken a huge amount of time in writing. But it's a small investment when you've got a story that people will want to read and a potential series that they will follow. Good luck.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great read! 13 Jun. 2014

An avid Travis Mcgee fan the comparison caught my eye. After reading the book I can see the comparison, but it's not a copy cat. The story was unique and I loved the characters. I also enjoyed the way the book was written. I got the book to read while I was at the beach. Finished it and ordered Wood's Wall, halfway thru, it might be better! I discovered Travis Mcgee long after they had been written. So I had plenty of them to read. Becker better get busy.....

5.0 out of 5 stars New Key West Series to Follow 5 Feb. 2014
By M. E. Banks - Published on Amazon.com

Great new series and can't wait for further.
There was only one small problem and maybe that's a quirk of mine. Too many characters had similar names and at times it was confusing. Is that any reason to not enjoy an otherwise excellent read? No, just a note to the author.
Other than that, 5 stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars prepare to entertained 31 Jan. 2014
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com

I was a bit hesitant to buy because of some reviews of poor grammar and spelling. I went ahead and bought it anyway... c'mon it's only 99 cents! However, I noticed very few errors in editing, either because they are so few or because the story is so compelling. I really enjoyed this book! A great 2 day read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Florida fiction 5 April 2014
By Stan Hartwig - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I'm a fan of Florida and Keys fiction and really enjoyed this book. The locations and characters were on the mark and the story was great. Looking forward to reading Wood's Wall now. Hopefully the series will keep coming!
