An author first, Wondra Vanian is also an avid gamer, a photographer, a cinephile, and mother to an army of furbabies. She sleeps with the lights on, has music in her blood, and has been known to dance naked in the moonlight.

Herein you will find the brilliant products of dark imaginations, certainly; and something to scare you, revolt you or unnerve you, probably – it depends on how jaded and degenerate a soul you are. What we can promise you is a wealth of new writing talent with a variety of different takes on what can constitute horror. You will meet horror that is graphic, or merely sinister; supernatural, or natural - where the source of the horror is all too human. There’s the tale of the breakfast that is life-changing (and not in a good way), the story of the loner whose obsession in life is keeping parasites .... among many more dark delights to be found inside.
The book also includes potted biographies of all 16 writers (including Philip Onions, S.J. Menary, Mark A. Smart, C.J Riley, Joanie Chevalier and A.H. Sargeant) and a list of author website and Twitter accounts, to aid you, should this book lead you to the discovery of a new favourite author. We think it might.

Donald Trump: 45th President of the United States, businessman and television personality, iconoclast and polarizer. This anthology is a time capsule which captures the hopes and fears, thoughts and ideas of writers from all over the world who were asked to share a story in which Trump is the muse. He does not have to be the main character, however, the story must show the type of world which might result from his policies.
The many worlds created includes:
* an app which requires self-sacrifice to prove that one is a true American;
* a wizard who can make dreams come true in exchange for good PR;
* a smart politician who created the wall to stop the zombies;
* Secret Service agents making difficult choices to save America;
* medieval kings demanding loyalty from both men and nature;
. . .along with people trapped in apocalyptic worlds containing vampires, a never ending trivia game show, clones, aliens and more!
Prepare to laugh, cry and become angry enough to fire the people around you (or maybe not)!
The fantastic writers selected for this book includes: Shaun Avery (UK), Emad El-Din Aysha (Egypt), Marleen S. Barr (USA), Ross Baxter (UK), Jared Bennett (USA), Gustavo Bondoni (Argentina), Timothy Carter (Canada), Maggie DeMay (USA), Livia Finucci (UK), Bryan Grafton (USA), G. The short stories are from many contributors that are listed in the Contributors section at the back of the book. Each short story is the backstory of each case. There are all sorts of monsters and interdimensional creatures. This will be the first book in a series all set in the same universe.
This exploration defines this anthology. So many of the stories ask what has America become? What will it be in the future? Will it devolve into a Russian style oligarchy, or will we rise to the challenge and use our hearts, our minds and our votes to return to a rational democracy, of, by, and for the people. No one knows for sure. But these top-tier talented authors from around the world, from Philip Brian Hall to Bruno Lombardi to Jane Yolen give us their visions.
You will find the witticisms of Jim Wright exploring Donald Trump as Moses after presentation of the Ten Commandments. The mental genius of Edd Vick and Manny Frishberg as they give us Trump, tweeting his way across the solar system. There is much to laugh about.
There are serious visions as well. Brad Cozzens’s brilliant poem “America Once Beautiful” reaches poignantly from today’s reality into some salvageable vision of tomorrow that borrows from yesterday’s values. The poets in this volume, be they Brad, Jane Yolen, Gwyndyn T. Alexander or C.A. Chesse, bring new meanings to words and leave you thoughtful.
If you want a fun romp, jump to “Wishcraft.com,” by Elizabeth Ann Scarborough, as she explores how important it is that political hacks not annoy witches. Or, if you prefer, K.G. Anderson’s, “The Right Man for the Job,” in which a post-corporeal LBJ rides to the rescue.
There is something for everyone. Coping. How do we cope? This painful question is explored by three of our best and brightest. Jill Zeller, a woman who won’t write of Elves, has given us “A Woman Walks Into a Bar,” an affirmation of our own choices. Coping is also explored brilliantly by Karin L. Frank and Kerri Leigh Grady in their stories “HMO” and “Final Delivery.”
There are so many more great stories in this collection, I can truly recommend them all. If, however, you can only read one, then read “Small Courages,” and let it touch you, maybe bring tears of hope, as you see our world through the eyes of a child and find that we can survive. We will survive.

Jim Wright (of Stonekettle Station) imagines Trump giving the Gettysburg Address. Blaze Ward, Daniel Kimmel, Janka Hobbs and I explore dystopias. Marleen Barr and Adam Troy-Castro envision humorous, kinky, and scatological endings. What can I say? It rocks.
