The images are to my mind a little dated and rather similar.
If you are a fan of Royo you know what to expect - impossibly unrealistic women with perfect bodies and big hair.
'Women' isn`t, in my opinion, one of his best books. I would say that 'Tattoo`s' and 'Prohibited' are better as they capture a more gentle, ephereal side of his artwork. However, that isn`t to say that 'Women' is completely without anything to its credit. It is in the style Royo used more for his Heavy Metal work, a slightly eighties, cyber-punk, more aggresive style. This work involves lots of hair, guns, and posing. It is more effected than the works in his later books. As always Royo succeeds in creating an erotic and artistically attractive work studying the female form. Essentially i would say it come to down to personal preference as to which style you prefer. If you prefer Luis Royo`s softer works then this perhaps isn`t for you. But if you`re a fan of his Heavy Metal artwork and the more aggresive portrayal of the female form then 'Women' is the book for you.
