Jenni Murray writes as she talks - she has a lovely voice. A very good read. full of interesting titbits. Like Murray I lived through this period too, and it made me apprecate even more what I, and other women achieved. Unlike her, i was completely oblivious that I was one of the lucky ones, in a new wave of freedom. The reason I did not know? I was a student, so I could not afford a television or newspapers. But yes it was for all of us like the lady in the lift at the BBC - you cant wear trousers, ok I'll take them off. Well written Jenni Murray!
