So the Wolf has returned to Wolfsbane, who will feel his breath first.
I read this mainly because I loved Cat Porter's MC book - her writing was exceptional.
Yep gave this five stars because it had everything in it for me, a beginning, a middle and an end - a hero, a strong heroine, good strong plot, erotic and of course the Cad!
for those who do love Historical romance stories. You are in for a treat.
I can't even explain how much I loved this book *sigh*
Actually I can, Now that I'm finished I am extremely grumpy that I'm not getting lost in Brandon and Justine's world anymore. I, no matter how many times I tried, couldn't rip myself away from this book. I really don't want to say goodbye so soon!!
Betrayal, Jealousy and Deceit versus Love, Lust and Friendship.
That's exactly what this book is and so much more. Through the force of others Brandon and Justine are now married. Both have been wronged in many ways. Lord Graven starts to put the pieces together after he is left for dead and slowly but surely on the mend from the help of Justine who stayed true to her promise.
Both of these characters were wronged in the worst ways possible, they really were and you want justice for them . Revenge is a big part of this story, however some of the wrongs are what ultimately brought these two together. The consuming need for revenge and what was on the line for it scared me! I loved these two together so hard. Brandon was everything I love in book boyfriend all alpha, possessive, hot as hell and more than willing to protect what's his. Justine completely stole the show for me thought that woman was a warrior, a badass, she was a rock throughout everything and as the reason they saved eachother.
"All for Brandon, all for Wolfsgate."
This book had such a hold of my emotions throughout the whole book. There were times I wasn't sure which direction it was going to go in and left me with my heart in my throat. There were times where I was swooning and fanning myself, seriously hot! And then there were times I was suspicious of everyone and trusted no one! Everyone seemed to be hiding something and I wanted to jump into the book and wrap Brandon and Jus in bubble wrap and keep everyone away from them! This was an amazing journey to go on, one of the best worlds to get lost in and will always be one of my favourite historical romances I've read. I hope there's more from some of the characters in this book, especially Martin, I'd love to see more of him in the future!
"Yes, Justine was his. His to f.&k Until Kingdom come"
Wolfsgate - When Justine first saw it as a young girl, it was a breathe of hope.
As the years progressed the family lies, deceit, and greed made her heart sad and her soul weary. Her step-brother's influence in her life removed any hope of happiness in her future.
Brandon - Lord Graven of Wolfsgate thought to be dead in a shipwreck is fighting his way back from his injuries, his addiction and the lies his family has told.
I love historic romance and truly enjoyed this one. Lots of twist and turns. The clothing and manner of speech make me wish I lived during those times. Then the reminder that the woman had no say and the men determined their future and that yanks me right back to reality.
Justine and Brandon's story is a story of healing and letting go of the wrongs done so that you can have a better future.
I looked forward to more of Cat Porter's work.
I was gifted a copy for an honest review.
