It follows 3 children- The Witch's Chlidren to be precise as they try and 'help' a friend get to the palace despite her not having the bus fair
The fab thing is that they have all leanred how to *DO* a little bit of magic, but none of them know how to put things right- so mum always has to be called to put things right. Its a sweet message, and a well written book- there are 3 of them as far as I know The Witch's Children Go to School and The Witch's Children all of which are VERY readable- even for the 57th time :-)
I have bought several copies for presents whenever I can find decent quality second hand as it is nice to give a book that you cant buy left right and centre. Write some more please Russell and Ursula!
What an excellent, well written and extremely funny book. Tongue in cheek humour about the Royals. But also teaches the children that our monachy still has a purpose (bless them).
A must read for any child aged 4 to 104!
