The story of the wedding of Pippa Sanders and Clay Mathers and all of the chaos and joy that goes with it is an uplifting, but practical account. Weddings are not always easy to pull off and author, Gemma Brocato, gives a fun and accurate account of all of the things that could go wrong and oh so right when trying to pull off a wedding in contemporary times.
It was nice to see more of the growth of Pippa and Clay's relationship as couple as they join the others in their lives to become what both characters now want more than anything--a blended family.
The story has some steamy moments. But most of the warmth you'll feel will come from the joy of knowing that this couple whose story began in Hearts in Harmony, a Five Senses Novel, have done what it takes to be together.
A Winter Wedding has all of the best parts of the holiday season...love, excitement, snow, and family working together toward a common goal. I hope you read this and enjoy it too.
Well. I had another think coming. There IS a conflict in this story, just a little different type than I'm accustomed to. I found myself holding my breath in hopes that Pippa's and Clay's problems would be resolved. Seeing these characters again, along with those from Cooking Up Love, was like a sweet, rich dessert--very satisfying.
Gemma Brocato is an amazing author, and the world she's created is vibrant, well-rounded, and oh-so-believable. If you still haven't read Cooking Up Love or Hearts in Harmony, get on it. You won't be disappointed.
As a novella this was okay- but it should hint as to whats next nd it could be a stand alone story but I as a reader wanted more-than just a cute how the wedding got done.
More Gemma please?
