Although not a guy I agree with politically, Campbell hits the nail on the head with this. I'm not a huge reader of self help books but this is a fantastic mix of real world and educational insight. I loved it.

Whilst I'm not a fan of Alastair Campbell's political persuasions - I'm a massive fan of this book.

Campbell has done his research and found a wide and varied degree of "winners". Be it sporting, business, fashion etc.... as a reader you should be able to find someone or something to relate to and bring your own situation into focus. This is a very consuming and motivational book. I could not put it down - and found myself recommending it to other like minded people as myself. As a business owner I have highlighted a large amount of this book for motivational work both for personal use as well as for my colleagues.

I don't often write Amazon reviews but just felt that this is to good a book not to.

Buy it - you won't be disappointed.

Great listen and read.

Like the mindset of winners and how they approach a task about winning.

Overall this is a good read although the points made are relatively subjective, there is not any scientific numbers to back up the many statements made. Overall it's a good insight into some interesting and successful people and I would recommend it.

Dropped a star on the review because the author is very bias on his politics which is quite intrusive.

This is a very good book indeed. It has real content and every page offers genuine insight, there's little (actually nothing) by way of padding and his writing style is very accessible (as you'd hope from a former journalist and communications director); but I joke. I've read a lot of books in the area of success and winning, both of gurus and autobiographies and this is quite possibly the best of them because it properly addresses the subject in appropriate depth, but in a practical way. Can't recommend the book highly enough.

One final point I should add, if you are concerned that his own politics or past will intrude on the subject matter, they do not. While there are some stories from the Blair/Brown past, they are few in number, never intrusive and are relevant in the context of the chapter, serving to illustrate a broader point. This is most definitely not a political memoir. It does what it says on the cover, it's a book about Winners in all walks of life.

...business books I have ever read. Even though it is not categorised as a business book as someone who has owned and run their own business for 16 years I found this one of the most insightful reads I have had - particularly from a team management perspective. Everything in it sets off bells ringing in my head. I couldn't recommend it more!

Fascinating insight into the worldview of many high-achievers, and a great primer for the world of strategy. I listened to the audiobook, which was great, but given the volume of content I'd recommend buying the book/kindle edition for annotation and ease of reference.
