This is one of my absolute favourite decks. The artwork is simple yet stunning, and I've gotten some fabulous results from it. It's also a favourite with people I've done readings for. Each Major Arcana card is represented by a different Angel, and the accompanying booklet tells you a bit about each one, so even someone with no background in Christianity or Angelology can interpret them just fine. The Minor Arcana draws on Angel images from a wide range sources, including the Renaissance, making it thoroughly unique. Perfect for beginners and experienced readers alike.

This is a beautiful tarot deck by David Sexton, who is also the creator of The Tarot of Oz. The cards are delightful, with lush, well-drawn images which each tell a clear story and have an emotional impact that aids interpretation. The background colours for the Minor Arcana suits correspond with the elements, which also makes this deck easy to use.

Angels and winged spirits feature in all of the cards, but each card in the Major Arcana is ruled by an angel or archangel and the symbolism and stories of these in the booklet are well-chosen and fascinating, tapping into a rich seam of spirituality and mythology. The personal interpretations are very clear, written from a wise and compassionate perspective.

Highly recommended for both beginners and experienced tarot enthusiasts.

5.0 out of 5 stars It is sickening now..... 5 Oct. 2016

I absolutely love this deck. I first saw it on a website that provides tarot readings. I used it on there as my displayed deck. When I decided to buy my own deck years ago I was ecstatic to be able to find it on here. The cards are just gorgeous. The artwork is amazing. It was my favorite deck until my daughter let her 2 yo son get a hold of them. It makes me sick now. I only paid $14 for them when I got them. I am still spending the money on a new deck. I don't think I'll ever feel as comfortable with a deck as I have these. They are well worth every penny!
5.0 out of 5 stars Very Striking, Basic Imagery 20 Aug. 2013

Love this deck. The designs are very straight-forward, but richly colored. I'm not really an angel-oriented person, but the imagery is very pretty without too many distractions (I don't like "busy" decks.) Someone mentioned (may not have been on this site) that the company logo was printed on the back of the cards, but they must have changed that, because the back design is just that -- a complimentary design and nothing more. Of course, selection of a tarot deck is pretty personal, but I found this deck worked for me very well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful and Engaging 3 Jan. 2011
By Walter Crane - Published on Amazon.com

Got this deck because I liked the Angel theme and the artwork I saw in the previews section on amazon.com, but I was also impressed by the book that goes along with the deck. I found it to be well researched and I learned a few things about various myths and legends. I highly recommend it to any Tarot enthusiasts or anyone interested in myths and legends that focus on angels.

1.0 out of 5 stars A Disappointment. 24 July 2010
By freya - Published on Amazon.com

I have collected a few art decks here and there since I was a child, many of which are too big or just otherwise not suited to actual tarot readings.
I wanted to finally start doing some real readings, and bought this on Amazon having liked what I saw of the imagery (wasn't too simplistic or primitive, too cartoonish or tacky looking.) The cards are also a good size to fit my hands. Unfortunately, the deck is unusable, and the imagery isn't even worth keeping it as an art deck to admire every now and then. My initial impression of the art, before I ordered the deck, was mistaken. The figures are reminiscent of characters from an 80s video game, or some bad web comic. The back of every single card is stamped with "1999USGAMES," which is annoying. But the reason the deck is unusable is because the cards are not smooth. They are laminated with some sticky plastic that makes them stick together, almost impossible to shuffle or spread, or work with at all. I don't know what the people who make these were thinking, but this is a really crappy deck. Don't waste the 14 bucks.
