Ordered this book on 1 November, standard delivery, it arrived by courier on the third!
The book was brand new, as stated, and well packed.
This is a book written by an acknowledged expert on French wine. This book concentrates on the chateaux themsleves although there are comprehensive tasting notes.
What I particularly like about this book is that it contains details of even the most minor chateaux and their wines. This is a book for a true connoisseur of wine. The author is not afraid to say what he thinks of silly prices for mediocre wine.
Because the book covers only up to 2003, the tasting information is not current, but there are other books for that. It is the other information this book contains I have found invaluable and have enjoyed reading it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Greatest book on Bordeaux 25 Aug. 2007
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
Clive Coates does a fantastic job in this book. This book covers all the Bordeaux chateaux great and small and has great, honest commentary on their terroir and winemaking. I have read this cover to cover and keep it out to check any bordeaux buying decision.
