A Contrary Wind

Re Windows 7 For Seniors. The Seniors will need to have good eyesight because the printing is small for a book meant for the elderly. I bought this book for my brother, who is a complete novice and he didn't get along with it at all. I then bought him the Step by Step book and he has done more in one day with that than he did in a week with Windows 7 for Seniors.

I have owned a few books in the Visual Steps series and I have never been disappointed. When I was upgrading the operating system, I noticed Windows 7 is just too different from the other systems I am used to operate. Windows 7 for Seniors was just what I needed to get started. It explains visually which actions to take so I could learn at my own pace on how to use Windows 7. It is a Windows 7 computer class in a book and can give any senior or Windows 7 beginner a quick understanding of the differences between Windows 7 and Windows XP and how to connect with the internet with Internet Explorer.

I like books as there is something personal about the paper and the physical nature. For some reason, when I combine both, I find that I can quickly learn and apply the lessons within consistently. When I went to look for the best windows book, I quickly found the Visual Steps books to be on top again. They have been doing awesome work to bring senior generations online and up to date, for which they deserve a commendation. I know which book to get, with my next Windows upgrade.

In our household, we have been using Windows XP for years. We recently upgraded to Windows 7 and the kids quickly grasped the understanding of the new operating system. In contrast to this, my wife, my parents and me did not have much understanding about this new program. The store we bought Windows 7 from was helpful in recommending this windows book. The title recommends it for seniors, but I found that the visual steps method is easy to understand for any Windows 7 beginner, be it kid, adult or senior.

Windows 7 for Seniors is easy to understand and follow. The pictures are in high quality color and look very crisp. The book follows a natural learning curve and works great as a course to understand the big picture of the operating system. This works quickly, efficiently and makes an awesome foundation for using Windows 7. I recommend this as a general guide for anyone using windows 7.... very helpful for beginners, adults and seniors looking for computer lessons for Win 7.
