I will admit that when the author announced on social media whose book this is going to be, I was a little worried. This book's hero, Jordan Fawkes, was an arrogant womanizer in the first three books while the heroine, April Weiss, was one of the mean girl interns who made Mia's (the heroine in the first 3 books) life a misery. I was questioning the likeability of the leads even before this book came out. Now that I've read this book, I am more than happy to report that I love these characters as much as Adam and Mia. With the author's expert writing, she managed to convince me why Jordan is the way he is and how he's changed because of his love for April. April isn't the mean girl that we've been led to assume in the first 3 books. I actually felt sorry for her at the start and cheered her on when she's finally found the strength to fight for herself. I love the interaction between the characters, especially the ribbing and guy talk between Adam and Jordan. I have so much good things to say about this book but suffice it to say that this will join the first three books in this series in my 5 star keeper virtual shelf.

This series just keeps getting better, I like the alternate POV between the two main characters. I think the writing is fantastic and keeps the reader turning the page well past their bedtime. The books are very character driven and I may have melted just a little bit for Jordan. I really hope we have another Jordan & April book. Now to impatiently wait for William & Jenna's story.

I've been looking forward to this book because I knew we would get to hear more about Adam and Mia's story and because I wanted to meet the woman who would tame Jordan Fawkes. As usual Brenna doesn't disappoint. We've met both Jordan and April briefly in the previous Gaming books. Jordan appears to be a player and April is tangled up with the mean girl interns albeit reluctantly so it's good to find out what really makes them both tick.

April is a peace keeper and people pleaser reluctant to rock the boat, a pattern of self preservation she learned as a child when her parents divorced and took it in turns to neglect, ignore or use her for their own gains.

After having his heart broken Jordan's form of self preservation involves surrounding himself with lots of ladies, allowing their attention to bolster his ego.

In an attempt to boost her sexual confidence April decides to challenge herself by having a one night stand. Dressed in dragon epoch costumes she and her 'date' have anonymous sex in April's room. But to her horror a video of their exertions ends up all over the internet. April being April she blames herself thinking she must have uploaded it accidentally. (I just have to add I love April; she is such a sweetie).

Little does she know that the anonymous man she had the best sex of her life with is her new boss Jordan. On the other hand he knew exactly who she was as he'd lusted after her for some months. Worse still Draco's CEO, Adam is spitting feathers as a Draco ID badge is clearly visible in the sex tape, bringing the company into disrepute.

With Adam threatening to dismiss the stars of the video, so begins the story of how April and Jordan have to work together, both of them in constant fear that their identities will be discovered. Throw in along the way some blackmail, hot sex, angst especially for April, great humour and a few more opportunities to see Adam and Mia too and Brenna is onto another winner,
