William Gallagher is a writer and dramatist. He writes Doctor Who audio dramas, stage plays and has an extensive journalism background. He's written for The Independent and the Los Angeles Times, he's been a columnist for BBC Ceefax, BBC News Online and wrote Radio Times's On This Day television history column. William has voiced the BBC Good Food website and been an entertainment reporter for BBC local radio as well as being interviewed on BBC Radio and BBC Breakfast.
For five years he produced and presented UK DVD Review, which was in the top ten of all iTunes podcasts in all categories across the world and was featured in The Times, The Stage and the BBC. His first book, BFI Television Classics: The Beiderbecke Affair, was published by the British Film Institute and Palgrave Macmillan.
He once had afternoon tea on a Russian nuclear submarine and regrets calling the place a dive.
