WARNING!!

This is a VERY tame collection of puzzles, only for those completely new to these puzzles or, possibly, young children, for whom this book would be a brilliant starting place.

Many of the puzzles are as small as 4 by 4, and, incredibly, 3 by 3. Only 30 are a mid-size 6 by 6.

My mother, new to these puzzles did all 200 puzzles in a week.

So, there you go, if that's what you want from a KenKen puzzle book.

HASH(0xaa6bf4f0) out of 5 stars Ultra fun 26 July 2011
By moppie - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This is the very first KenKen book I have brought and has gotten me addicted to this game. There are 200 puzzles and start with several 3x3 puzzles and go up to 6x6. The 3x3 puzzles are extremely extremely easy and will give you an idea of how to play this game. The rest of the puzzles go from relatively easy to somewhat challenging. I have finished up this entire puzzle book in about a week because I really loved playing the game. There were some scattered puzzles here and there towards the end of the book that are quite challenging and which I have gotten errors on or couldn't solve. I have since then purchased the 2nd volume of this series, Wild KenKen, and have been able to solve, so far, up to puzzle 100 successfully.

Size of the book is just like a paperback book, so very easy to handle. The grid boxes are also very big, which allows you to make little notations in the grid to help you solve the puzzle. In my opinion, this is easily the perfect book for beginners. It is priced at $8.99 for 200 puzzles and the entire volume is considered "easy". The other beginner books I browsed through are also about the same price but for only 100 puzzles, or they're easy-to-hard puzzles, so it doesn't really give you enough easy puzzles to keep you satisfied.

HASH(0xa3db8d2c) out of 5 stars Very easy puzzles, but fun 30 Jan. 2010
By Jeffrey L. Loeb - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This book has a collection of 200 kenken puzzles. The puzzles start at 3 by 3 and go up to 6 by 6.

Many of the puzzles can be solved instantaneously. In case you get stuck, you can make a note of the possibilities that can occur within a cell.

These are enjoyable and relaxing puzzles for the beginner, but very few for the price. Even a novice can solve 4-5 0f these puzzles in 15 minutes. Save your money. A book with 500 puzzles is much better.
HASH(0xa39aec18) out of 5 stars Basic, Basic, Basic!!! 21 April 2013

This is pretty much a total beginners introduction to the KenKen puzzle world. The person I gave it to went through it like the proverbial hot knife through butter!
HASH(0xa39ae51c) out of 5 stars Something different in puzzles, very fun and challenging. 8 Nov. 2013

The puzzles were above the run-of-the-mill, something much different to work on and I really enjoy them. They keep me thinking and working to solve them.
