“...phenomenal... brilliant Andrews pulls out all the stops and delivers in a mammoth way... an incredible saga... jam-packed with high-stakes magical mayhem, family and political machinations, as well as the development of an abiding passion and respect. This series is an utter joy to read”

About the Author
"Ilona Andrews" is the pseudonym for a husband-and-wife writing team. Ilona is a native-born Russian and Gordon is a former communications sergeant in the U.S. Army. Contrary to popular belief, Gordon was never an intelligence officer with a license to kill, and Ilona was never the mysterious Russian spy who seduced him. They met in college, in English Composition 101, where Ilona got a better grade. (Gordon is still sore about that.) They have co-authored two New York Times and USA Today bestselling series—the urban fantasy of Kate Daniels and the romantic urban fantasy of The Edge—and are working on the next volumes for both. They live in Texas with their two children and many dogs and cats.

For those who haven't read Burn for Me and White Hot, stop. Purchase these books, read said books in order and then get your mitts on Wildfire - You are in for one 'magical' ride!
Wildfire is a fantastic payoff for those who have invested in the series; it is filled with action, humour and suspense and genuinely had me on the edge of my seat. The world building throughout this series has been fantastic. The world, it's laws and politics are imparted to the reader with such ease and clarity that it is easy frighteningly easy to imagine oneself in that world. Characters are so richly drawn and the dialogue is, in my opinion, second to none but it is the flaws and vulnerability that have been endowed within each character that make for such a rich tapestry.
As any fan knows, this is supposedly the final book. I say 'supposedly' because the epilogue leaves it open enough for the series to continue whilst still giving a satisfying payoff. I for one urge Avon Romance, publishers, to invest in this series for the foreseeable future to let it 'finish' would be ludicrous and remarkably shortsighted. I strongly believe that if IA were willing, that Hidden Legacy has the bones for a TV series.
The authors left it open at the end and we can only hope more to follow. We still need some answers......!
Explosive. Snarky. Poignant. Exhilarating. These are just some of the suitable epitomes for Ilona Andrews' books. I honestly can't get enough of them, and this series is one of the finest in urban fantasy, from my point of view.
It all comes to a head in Wildfire. We finally have a clearer view of the scale of the conspiracy Rogan and Nevada stumbled upon. Nevada has to step into the limelight and assume the position of the Prime, which, I have to admit, suits her like a second skin.
Her family is absolutely amazing and such an integral part of her personality it's impossible to separate them from her.
Even her evil grandmother pulls the same trick we see in Kate Daniels's interactions with her father. She is evil, ruthless and cold, but at her core she is proud of Nevada, and it makes it that little bit harder to hate her.
Rogan and Nevada's interactions are high-octane and filled with electric tension. They are just such powerful, larger than life personalities the only way for them to function together is constant compromise, which is an alien concept for them both. Not surprisingly, I absolutely adored them!
Wildfire is full of delicious action, the trials, the constant battles, the mind games. Even if it feels like a rabbit pulled out of the hat from time to time, in the end everything is clear.
If you just finished White Hot, stop and catch your breath. You will not have this opportunity once you start Wildfire.
Verdict: it was freaking awesome. I'm a crazed fan. Read it!
At the end of the last book Nevada's paternal grandmother had discovered her existence and Nevada had decided to ask her family whether to petition to be recognised as House Baylor. Then Rogan's former girlfriend turns up, Cornelius killed her mother and now her husband is missing and because she is now a pariah no other house will help her. Nevada agrees to investigate, despite her jealousy, and it turns out that Brian's disappearance may be linked to the Primes who want to overthrow what little democracy is left in Houston.
This is da bomb! Everything you ever loved about Ilona Andrews is here. Great plot, great characters, great action scenes, great dialogue, humour, love, smexy times. This has it all.
Only complaint? Could have been ten times longer, we want more.
No spoilers here just praise for Ilona Andrews 😀
Love Sargent Teddy, Cornelius and his animals, Nevada's family and Rodan's crew.....not forgetting Nevada and Rogan!
Read the book, read the series, you won't want to put it down.....😀....a real page turner and keeper!
Bought on Kindle but I really want the paperback...bummer that it isn't released in the UK until September 😠
Kudos to Ilona and Gordon....an amazing couple who are very generous to their fans ☺️
