This book was brilliant and had me engrossed from the first page. The story of Paxton and Leah was exciting and funny. The stunts and sports passages were so well written and described that I could imagine exactly what was happening. It was edge of your seat stuff aswell. Really enjoyed this book and I've just one clicked Nova so I will be starting that next!!

Dish me up a scenario I haven’t encountered before and there wasn’t a hope that I wasn’t going to be completely engrossed. Rebecca Yarros, this was a little stroke of genius and no, I don’t mean Wilder because there is absolutely nothing little about this guy!
X games gold medallist Paxton Wilder…wow! There is nothing that this guy touches that doesn’t turn to gold or so it would have appeared but that was before the bright lights of the games seamed to overshadow everything else and with career longevity not exactly likely to last into old age, and a movie deal hanging in the balance the one thing that he could afford to let slide was his education, after all he has others that rely on him for much more than he lets on. But Paxton was enjoying living for the moment and keeping up with his studies isn’t always easy but he has to make sure he can balance the games and hitting the books or everything may just fall apart around him and that is a thought he isn’t willing to contemplate but is he willing to accept the solution provided?
Well, the fact that the solution came in the beautiful shape of Leah Baxter, his interest was certainly piqued but was that her or the subject matter …what do you think?
Leah is appointed as Paxton’s tutor and is tasked with spending the next 9 months with him, now I doubt I would have lasted 9 minutes but she is obviously made of stronger stuff because the battle of wills that ensued between the two of them was epic, they tried, honestly I think they really did to try and keep things platonic, professional but there was never a chance that the two of them were going to succeed in that endeavour, it was just a case of who was going to give in first!

What a brilliant start to what looks like is going to be a really great series. The setting is really unusual and I think that is what appealed to me. The characters were very personable and I could relate to them and some aspects their lives.

This story is full of Everything. Fun and Happiness, Passion and Hope, Wild Times and Hot As Hell characters that fill this story full of Love, Emotions and Heartbreak.

It a slow start but builds nicely, taking you on a wild journey. I look forward to the rest of this series.

Wilder is an extreme sports romance mixed with a college romance but mixed up to be unique in the fact they are on a study at sea programme. I absolutely loved this book for it’s uniqueness and loveable characters while adding in challenging fears and dealing with a slightly suspense undertone. It had a mix of everything to make this a page turning addictive read!

Leah and Paxton had an incredible connection from the very start as she is assigned his personal tutor. Using dual points of views, we get a good rounded look and understanding of both characters as the book evolves and their sizzling chemistry that is steadily developed as they spend more time together, despite their glaringly obvious different personalities. The relationship that develops is set a good steady pace that is fitting with both characters and some of the difficulties they have both faced in the past, especially Leah. The whole book is steadily paced and builds up over a couple of months rather than just a fast paced romance, allowing good development of these complex characters and the romance that develops. It added a believability factor to their feelings and changing emotions.

Wilder is well written with a great pace and flow from start to finish. It definitely has a few surprising twists and unexpected curveballs that you definitely won’t see coming within the plot. Also, the author does well to create vivid descriptions to allow the reader to be engaged and picture the scenes that were playing out clearly. Be reassured do not have to be a fan of extreme sports to follow along because, while it is a part of the book, there is good and relatively easy to follow descriptions of the sports and actions involved for novices to understand.
