About the Author
Ren Behan is a British food writer of Polish descent, who is inspired by both her heritage and the fast-changing food landscape in Poland. Her writing and recipes are an exciting fusion of traditional and modern Eastern European cuisine. An ex-lawyer who swapped the courtroom for the kitchen, Ren is now a mother of three and writes for a number of prominent online publications such as JamieOliver.com, GreatBritishChefs.com and her own highly popular blog RenBehan.com. Her Polish recipes have been featured in leading mainstream publications such as delicious. magazine and BBC Good Food, and she has been a judge at The Guild of Food Writers Awards. Whenever time allows, Ren runs pop-up events that showcase the delicious flavours of Polish food. This is her debut cook book.

The recipes, whether simple or more complicated, are easy to follow and have a modern twist, often taking into account current trends.
I would have liked a few more recipes for other well known Polish dishes, but on the other hand, I can look forward to these in the next book.
All in all, a very pleasing cookbook for anybody looking for something slightly different to the norm.
As someone of Polish heritage, I love Polish food but have found it quite labour-intensive to make. This book has got me cooking! The recipes are traditional favourites with a modern twist and really easy to make. I love it.
I travel to Poland and often take my friends, who have also enjoyed Polish food so it has given me great pleasure to buy a number of copies and give them as gifts.
Great job - promotion of Polish food on TV next, Ren!
