A powerful and honest account of love, grief and starting again, it's moving and sad, but also surprisingly funny. You'll love it (Closer)

An absolutley amazing book. I cried all the way through!
Brutally honest, I was blown away by the emotional intensity and feeling. The author has written a truly heartfelt and intensly personal record of her love and loss and how she dealt with the grief.
For me it was one incredible journey as a reader. Fantastically written.

Totally Absorbing!
This book is an extremely powerful and courageous account of how a young woman, overwhelmed with grief, finds her way through life. The author writes with scalding honesty about her feelings on living with, and survival after the death of, her ternminally ill husband who displayed such unbelievable and insurmountable courage. In this moving account, the author examines the kaleidoscope of emotions experienced by herself, family and friends, as she does what is necessary to live again. This book is written from the heart and, although some scenes are unbearably heartbreaking, the essence of this story is 'Love.' In parts, it is so tenderly and beautifully written that I felt it was an emotional celebration of an extraordinary love - as a reader I found myself grieving for a man I have never even met and a love I never shared.
I applaud this woman's courage and honesty.

I bought this book but just couldn't get my head into it at all. I read to about halfway through and gave up, it just wasn't keeping my attention at all. It wasn't particularly poorly written or anything, just not my kind of book!

A well written, courageous & searingly honest story. Such a powerful tale of your love for each other & the aftermath of losing Eoghan. It refreshingly describes how grief really is....the pain that descends when everyone goes back to their lives, loves & families & you are left empty & alone.
Grief is messy, ugly, & silent & actually, no one really wants to know about it, so they leave you to get on with it.
You have guts to tell the truth about how it was for you trying to cope with losing Eoghan. I am sure that your story will touch the hearts of many who have loved, lost & had to carry on.
Your husband would be very proud of you.

This book is breathtakingly honest and I do mean that quite literally! The way it describes love and loss so brutally makes you want to hug the person you love and be truly grateful for what you have. It's a rare book that can evoke such spirit and amazing that a person can bear to write about what they lived through so intelligently. There is an awful lot to get out of this book; far more than just `make em cry' trash it really draws the reader through the joy and desperation and out the other side. Anyone that needs to do some thinking about love and loss should take notice and forget self help books - read this.

I read this book not long after becoming a widow myself. It was very touching and close to the heart and I had a real sense of knowing the main character in the book. Touched my heart from the very beginning. Highly recommended.

My heart goes out to Amy who has gone through so much for someone so young. The book was well written and gave a honest and hearfelt account of her experiences, very brave.

Although Eoghan will always be a big part of Amy's life, I hope she will find true happiness again.

Good, easy read that I found hard to put down.Wife, Interrupted

Being a young widow myself, this book was such a relief, cried all the way through at the honesty & my own grief as our stories are on similar. Thank you Amy for having the guts to be so honest.
