Praise for the Starcrossed series

With "Broken Juliet," Leisa Rayven meets and exceeds the high bar she set in "Bad Romeo." It has a fair share of angst and heartbreak, but the dialogue is sprinkled with sharp, witty, absolutely hilarious banter, which assists in giving dimension to the story. "Bad Romeo" concluded with a cliffhanger, but happily, "Broken Juliet" ties off the story arcs in fine fashion, leaving this reader very satisfied. What Ethan does to win Cassie back is definitely sigh-worthy - he proves he's the good Romeo she deserves.;) If you enjoy a heartwarming unique New Adult romance, "Broken Juliet" is highly recommended. This book and "Bad Romeo" are keepers. "USA TODAY Happily Ever After blog"

This book grabbed me and didn't let go. I'm in love with Leisa Rayven and the rest of the world needs to be, too. "Colleen Hoover, New York Times bestselling author of Ugly Love, on Bad Romeo"

The chemistry between Cassie and Ethan is red-hot in this contemporary new adult romance, and Rayven certainly has a way with dialogue. "Booklist"

"Bad Romeo" delivers perfect romance - emotional, edgy, and illicit. Every page is charged with off-the-charts chemistry. Don't miss this exciting debut. "M. Pierce, bestselling author of the Night Owl Trilogy, on Bad Romeo"

Leisa Rayven crashes onto the romance scene: laughing, flirting, and just daring us to put Bad Romeo down. I couldn't! "Christina Lauren, New York Times bestselling author of Beautiful Bastard, on Bad Romeo"

An unputdownable debut! Filled with delicious tension that will make your palms sweat, toes curl and heart race. "Alice Clayton, New York Times bestselling author of Wallbanger, on Bad Romeo"

The perfect combination of hot and hilarious, Bad Romeo is utterly dazzling. I loved it! "Katy Evans, New York Times bestselling author of Real, on Bad Romeo"

I gobbled this book up in one sitting. The emotions between the characters were superb. The new hottest book couple! "Jennifer Probst, New York Times bestselling author of The Marriage Bargain"

I absolutely LOVED this book. This is a romance that you feel with all your heart and soul. Ethan and Cassie's chemistry was off-the-charts and their connection so intense that it kept my heart racing the whole way through. The writing captured the emotional intensity of their epic love while balancing it out with hilarious scenes that had me laughing out loud, and other scenes that had me fanning myself from the hotness. It was the perfect balance! Absolutely freaking ADORED it. And I can't recommend it highly enough. "Aesta's Book Blog (5 Stars)"

I loved reading this book. The heroine is infused with the perfect amount of believable hopefulness and charm. She is fully-fleshed out and possesses a sense of humor that is wry and witty And the hero is perfectly drawn. The reader may want to throttle him for a sizable portion of the text. They will equally want to make out with him. And that dichotomy is perfect for a New Adult hero. He is wonderful and believably bad for her in all the best ways. "Bibliopunkk (5 out of 5 stars)"

"A "100% MUSTREAD. There's drama, angst, humor, and sexy, sexy romance. And that ending GAH! I wholeheartedly recommend "Bad Romeo" o those who enjoy contemporary romance with some angst, but the promise of humor and swoons to smooth the way. "We So Nerdy"

It's part second chance romance, part friends to lovers and part antagonistic romance. The mixture is straight-up perfect. Especially when you add in all the sexual tension. And my god, there was sexual tension. "Kimberly Fay Reads"

There were times I was swooning and times I was fuming with these two characters through their love-hate-love relationship, and as the plot was building, so was my heart-rate. I swooned, I laughed, and I had those sweet chills up my spine from the intensity of two lovers approaching a second chance at making things right. "Romantic Reading Escapes"

WOW! This book! There isn't a single thing I didn't like about this amazing, fantastic read. An outstanding debut! "Beauty and the Beastly Books"

With phenomenal writing, scorching chemistry and a great plot, "Bad Romeo" is easily one of the best contemporary romances I have ever read! The attraction between the protagonists is so palpable, I could almost taste it. If you like unforgettable romance stories, believe me, you do not want to miss this one! "Reading Is My Breathing""

"It's very rare for me to say this, but this book is genuinely PERFECT. In my eyes it is 150% perfection. This is the best book I've read this year!!" -- "Aestas Book Blog (5 Stars)"

"It's very rare for me to say this, but this book is genuinely PERFECT. In my eyes it is 150% perfection. This is the best book I've read this year!!" -- "Aestas Book Blog (5 stars)"

"This book is a true delight for all the romantics at heart seeking stories that won't compromise on strong heroines or resonant plotlines, all the while delivering a tale of never-ending love that will somehow make your toes curl and your skin tingle as your heart grows tenfold. An absolute must read." "Natasha is a Book Junkie (5 stars)"

"The perfect blend of humor, angst, and sexual tension her fans have come to expect." "Booklist"

"Wickedly sexy and romantic with off-the-charts, toe-curling tension." "Vilma's Book Blog (5 stars)"" --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Wicked Heart,  Leisa Rayven

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews

Genre:  Romance,

Well – Wow– just wow...what a read! When I first read Bad Romeo I enjoyed it but its only half a story, and it wasn’t til I read Broken Juliet that it all came together for me and I loved it, and I added to my review of BR and upped the rating.

This time all the story is in one book – hurrah. For me that’s the best way to read a book, all the story in one, unless its meant as a series as many fantasy reads are.
When a romance is split into two or three ( or more!) parts as seems to be a current trend it spoils the story for me. I feel yanked out, cut off from the story and characters before I’m ready, and without reading earlier parts again I never quite pick up the threads properly. So I was ecstatic to get this, a whole story in one complete read.
I wish romance reads would go back to this, or at least release parts two and three at the same time as the first, so I can read them all at once.

Elissa is Ethan’s sister, and we met her in the previous reads but its not til this book I felt I really knew her properly. .
Its a story packed full of emotion, and where so many stick to a kind of format: A meets B and they get together, then about 75% they split for some reason and then its the HEA, this one was wonderfully different. This time I was gutted really early, when things go wrong for Liam and Elissa. I could feel how in love they were, could feel how strong their connection was even though they’d not known each other long so why? Why did..?? It brought me to the edge of tears and its only maybe at 30% of the book. That took me by surprise – and I loved it.
That's not the end of the drama though, there’s lots more to come.

By Laura TOP 500 REVIEWER on 7 May 2016
Format: Kindle Edition
I didn't read the previous books in this series but I saw some reviews for this book that said there was a lot of angst and as I love romances with angst, I requested this book from Netgalley.

I didn't find any angst at all! Liam and Elissa had a 'friendship/relationship' six years ago. What I liked about this story is that instead of flashbacks between the past and present, the author takes us back six years and tells their past in one go. Although Liam and Elissa had an instant attraction, they didn't date because of them working together and then when they could finally give in to temptation, they spent one night together before Liam made the choice to go and look for fame as an actor in LA. Although they do meet again eight months later but I'll leave you to read about that yourself. What I will say is that I did find the storyline predictable. I knew what Liam's two 'secrets' would be early on but it didn't stop my enjoyment of the story.

Six years later, Elissa is working as a Stage Manager alongside her best friend Josh (Josh is straight but in my opinion, the author wrote him like a gay best friend!) when she meets Liam again . Although now Liam is a big movie star and engaged to the beautiful Angel. Some may consider this a love triangle, but I didn't because as soon as they meet again and from Liam's reactions to Elissa, I guessed that his relationship with Angel was not as it seemed.

I liked the characters. There was some witty dialogue. I did find some things unrealistic but then I suppose a lot of stuff goes on in the movie world, so I guess it could happen but for me, I found it odd at how long the 'secret' had gone on for and how far the players were prepared to take it. An enjoyable read but not angsty in the least!

Movie star Liam Quinn is the only man Elissa Holt ever truly loved. Circumstance broke them apart but six years later throws them back together. Within the pages of WICKED HEART, Leisa Rayven depicts the past and the present in this romantic second chance romance set around the glittering world of showbiz and a Broadway Play. Told in first person narrative and from the sole perspective of the heroine this standalone story is about fate, second chances and love... I felt the romance and longed for their second chance to evolve.

As is indicative of this authors style the narrative explores their past taking us right back to the point of their meeting ensuring that the reader falls in love with Liam and Elissa as a couple and long for their second chance romance. Wind forward six years and the present day story showcases their passion, chemistry and deep connection. There are obstacles, reasons they’re not and can’t be together and, as the story fully unfolds, the reader gleans the secrets of the past and the present and waits with baited breath to discover if the protagonist's love is given the second chance we crave.

I really enjoyed this story and became utterly addicted to reading and discovering the fate of Liam and Elissa but if I'm blunt, there are times when I found the prose to be a little clichéd for my tastes and, in some areas of the story arc, I found the hero's choices to be jarring to a certain degree. Both aspects had the capacity to pull me out of my story bubble but having said that, by the end, retrospectively, I must admit that I totally bought into his motivation for everything and wish I had known a little more of his true reasoning earlier in the narrative.
