Unfortunately this book doesn't make me want to read the rest of the series.
That said, one of my biggest bug bares was when the author forgot the name of Brianna's mother. Throughout the story her name changed from Diana to Diane. The worst time was when the two names were used within the same paragraph. For an author, who has written so many books, there really is no excuse.
I don't think I will bother reading the rest of the series.
Brianna is such a brilliant character, and selfless doesn't begin to describe her! Her courage and bravery made her such a great character, she was a real pleasure to read. Noah and his team are all hot ex military so there's no question I loved all of them, well not Bull to start with, but what the brothers did at the end set me off crying again!
First and foremost this is a love story, there's suspense and intrigue through the book, the proverbial bad guy, or two or three, and a couple of twists as well.
It's an engaging and enjoyable story, and I'm very much looking to reading more books in the series,

Brianna, fresh from college and ready to rock the journalist world. With the help of her father, she gets an elite assignment to travel overseas....destination top secret. When she arrives and gets an eyeful of the guys who are the Special Ops men she will be interviewing and spending time with over the next 6 weeks, she almost swallows her tongue! She instantly falls for the team leader, Reaper, but the other men, Bull, Rebel, Shadow and Judge aren't hard on the eyes either. After 6 weeks is done, Reaper and Brianna have become very close.
Brianna has to leave back to the states while Reaper and his team are on a mission but they haven't seen the last of each other. The 5 men do not re-sign and they return to the states where Noah Steele - aka Reaper - starts a security company. Steele Security begins with 3 members only as Shadow and Judge move on to other positions. But Reaper knows exactly where Brianna is and with his company up and running it is time to make his move!
On to book 2 now...this is a 5 book series. I recommend!
Also, when all is said and done, she is begging for forgiveness, when he should be begging to be found worthy. No mention is made of him sleeping around, although he had been, with the nasty chick of all people.
Not a bad book, just needs some tightening up.
The story had me in tears more than once it was sweet and sad at the same time. This was my first book by A.D. Justice but it won't be my last. Can't wait to read more from her
Why I rated it 4 stars instead of 5, cant quite put my finger on. But I did enjoy the book that I bought the box set. Looking forward to reading the rest.
In a way, the story makes sense, and in a way, it doesn't. For a reporter, she has no idea that's not how WITSEC works. She also somehow magically has another set of ID that's STILL current. Moreover, why can't she just TELL Noah what's the story she's working on that she had to run off to Turkey all by herself? Can't Noah even afford to send ONE guy to guard her? Is their relationship that bad? Some of this doesn't make sense! Why break into his mansion at all? It's just to setup her capture! At the end of the book, she walked into the enemy camp, got taken somewhere to be worked over, only to have another guy come in to save the day deus ex machina. There is some real emotion in there, but the setup needs to make more sense.
Brianna is an investigative reporter who has travelled across the world to Noah’s unit to interview him and his team. While there, she and Reaper become closer and finally surrender to their passion. Their nights are hot and steamy, and not just from the desert.
However, all things must come to an end and Brianna has to go home and leave Noah, not knowing if she will ever see him again. When she gets the job opportunity of a lifetime, which includes moving closer to where Noah lives, she doesn’t hesitate. Then, her dreams become a reality when their paths cross and immediately the passion ignites between them again.
Just when you think things are perfect for them, Brianna’s getting closer and closer to breaking her big story. Little did she know in doing that, it would change their entire future. Having no choice but to lose everything she ever loved, she knows she has to protect Noah at all costs.
Three years later, Brianna resurfaces much to Ryan’s shock, and after him mourning her death, he’s so angry with her. But, who can blame him? She rocked his entire world making him think she died. As her story unfolds and she becomes in danger, the hero that he is, Ryan knows what he must do to save her. Here is where I fell for him even more. After knowing she faked her death, he still loves her more than ever.
Their story isn’t easy and this book has so many twists and turns, but their love was so beautiful and the sex scenes were hot!! I loved how, in the beginning, she met his team aka brothers and how they become her ‘brothers’ as well. They took her in as their little sister, and after she broke their heart by ‘dying’, in the end they protected her with everything they had. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat, not knowing what is going to happen next. My only issue is that there seemed to be a lot of details that weren’t necessary to enjoy this book. I felt like I could have enjoyed the story that much more if there weren’t some things that were added that didn’t pertain to the story. With that being said, it still kept my interest and I’m ready to read more about all of Noah's brothers in the future books of this series after reading this 4 star book.
