How to understand and improve your dog's behavior and build a friendship based on trust.
From the Back Cover
We all want a dog that we can take anywhere with us, well-behaved and gentle
This practical book gives you a unique way of communicating with dogs, and a better understanding of why they do what they do. You will be able to correct undesirable behaviour and develop a friendship built on love, harmony and mutual trust.
The methods used in this book don't seek to dominate, but rather show your dog that you are the decision-maker. Your dog can sit back and relax, knowing that the important decisions regarding danger, safety and food are taken by you.
This form of natural canine communication can be used to resolve any issue, including
* Separation anxiety
* Running off
* Excessive or attention barking
* Pulling on the lead
* Digging up the garden
* Jumping up
* Difficulties associated with rescue dogs
Dogs communicate with body language - there is a message in everything they do. This book will help you to understand what these messages mean so that you can teach them the boundaries and manners they need to fit into our world.
Foreword by popular TV vet, Paul Manktelow.See all Product description

He is no longer a fussy dog and eats properly. He as learnt to relax and not patrol all of the time. He has stopped demanding my attention 24/7. He never rested.
We really were struggling but now I can sit down and have a coffee peacefully. I can talk to visitors without him jumping all over us and butting in. I have a life again! That's how extreme it was. He didn't have the best start in life.
Before this book I would not have been able to write this review as he would jump all over the laptop and make it impossible to use. As I type he is sleeping peacefully, no sign of trouble :)
All of this was achieved in a positive, calm way, simply by me understanding him and changing how I do things. I no longer spend all day tearing my hair out chasing around after my dog unable to even take a toilet break!
I would thoroughly recommend.
I have had dogs in my life for a long time and after reading the book found that I learnt an awful lot from the author.
It was good to read that I was doing things right with my dogs and at the same time picking up the correct way when I came against a problem.
Truly great book.
