'She is a mighty performer of her poems on stage, but she is first and foremost a writer, and her poems on the page are a tribute to her skill. 'Enjoy the Party' she says [in Let Me Touch the Sky]. I did.' Roger McGough, Carousel 'Valerie Bloom has that magic touch which... can make the strange familiar and the familiar strange.' John Mole, TES 'Let Me Touch the Sky contains some performance poems of rare and exceptional quality... If we had a multicultural Children's Laureate, I would nominate her.' Peter Hollindale, Signal --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.
