The pans are fantastic too... I'm always wary of 'artist' quality items at bargain prices. If I compare the quality to the winsor & newton tubes at artist quality, I would say that W&N are slightly better, however compared to the W&N pans at artist quality then the white nights are better. You can pick more paint, the paint has a better staining quality that gives a more vibrant finish, and the autumnal colour selection is beautiful. The ultramarine doesn't have the same granulation as the W&N, which i like to use on skies, but other equivalent colours I am preferring the white nights.
I would recommend these happily to anyone.
I love the fact that the paints give up their colour so easy so there is none of this 'scrubing' the pan to get a decent amount of paint on the brush.
These paints have certainly helped me to develop my own talent such as it is.
They also do pure sable paint brushes at unbelievable prices ie- a size 10 pure Kolinsky sable brush for less than £15.00 and an excellent brush too. This review is based on the 36 full pan version. I cannot rate these paint's highly enough, try them you will not be dissapointed.
