This wasn't what I expected, but I could relate to some of it. She was a very determined, strong willed lady, and it makes very interesting reading, how times have changed, I think for the better with regard to some things.

I was looking forward to re-living memories of my teenage years in the sixties but sadly there were few if any in this book. There was the odd reference or two to events of that period and a few names were dropped in. I would not have known which period in recent history the book was set without these references and names. It could have been set at any period over the last fifty years. Sorry but it came across as just a girlie gossip. Very disappointing

Very disappointed with this book. The first book was a well told story of the times but this book was written to sell the book not to tell a story and Jacky came over as not a very nice girl. DISAPPOINTED !!!!!

I enjoyed this book because I was a (younger) teenager during the 1960's and identified with the fashions, music etc. I didn't live in London but my sister did, so I could certainly emphasise with Jacky's misery over the grotty type of flat/bedsit available to young girls on low wages! Good read, but lacked the grip her previous book, Bombsites and Lolipops, had over the reader.

Yes I am male... Yes I am straight... Yes I still thoroughly enjoyed this book. I great ride through the London my parents grew up in from a truly brilliant author - Jacky Hyams I salute you and your writing style... I literally had to fight off tiredness to read "just one more chapter" in bed on several occasions!

A very good book brings back memories so true of the live for now attitude that we had then , we moved from one flat to another and from job to job so care free that's what young people did . This book has captured the feeling of the sixties so well l felt young again just reading it.

Really good book, gives you an insight into what life was like back then. I am not that old but I had an older sisiter,so I remember some of the things from her. I rememeber the latter part of the sixties and onwards. Itis a great book for bringing back the memories. Worth reading.
