HASH(0x9b9c4930) out of 5 stars Amazing and inspiring story, loved it 26 Sept. 2012
By L. Franco - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I have to admit that I am probably one of those readers most authors don't like. I almost ALWAYS judge a book by its cover. If the cover looks good, I'll take a peek at what it's about, and if that sounds good, I'm sold! And I have to say that 99.99% of the time that works for me. And I hit another one out of the park with this choice! Whisper Privileges is an amazing book. From the way the story flows together to the dynamics between Sydney and the other characters (especially that nasty ol' Morgan) and the way Ms Venetta brings the Special Olympics to life.....it's just outstanding. She made such a....(looking for the right word here)...not often talked about (?) subject the focal point of her story with such grace and aplomb and it really makes the reader, or me at the very least, have a whole new perspective on special needs children and their families. One of my former co-workers had a son with autism and the few times I saw him, I noticed he was more reserved around people, but I never paid much attention or thought much more about it. After reading this I have a whole new appreciation for those families who raise special needs children and realize just what a great organization the Special Olympics really is. I look forward to reading the next book to see what Clay has up his sleeve to try to get Sydney to commit to him! What a guy!! I really recommend this book. It's a great, heartwarming story, especially when Syd gives her speech at the closing ceremony. A definite must read!

HASH(0x9bf43074) out of 5 stars Great Read! A book I couldn't put down! 18 Aug. 2012
By S. Lane - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
When I first read the summary of this book my thoughts were "eh it sounds ok." I haven't been disappointed by Dianne Venetta's books yet so I gave it a try. Because I am a member of her Bloomin' Warrior club I got a preview of the first 3 chapters. I immediately feel in love with the book! I had to read the whole thing! I have not read many books that I cannot put down but this one I read in record timing! The story line was great and there were several characteristics of Sydney I did not expect which kept the story new and exciting throughout the whole book. With the story including the Special Olympics it really opened up my eyes to another world (which are what books are for right? :-)

I highly recommend this book. It includes romance, family, kids, work, friends, a life adventure! I will never doubt myself on another book again especially Dianne Venetta. She has a true fan in me forever!

HASH(0x9b35af78) out of 5 stars Kritters Ramblings 9 Sept. 2012

The first Dianne Venetta book that I didn't immediately pass on to a friend - this one lacked a little in story and for me went on for days and days. From the beginning, I was excited to have the Special Olympics at the center of the story, I have yet to read a book that centers around these games. The Olympics part of the story was fantastic, I loved reading about the athletes and how the games impacts their lives.

HASH(0x9b37af24) out of 5 stars Loved this! 3 Sept. 2012
By CozyReadersCorner - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Whisper Privileges was a fantastic story that kept me turning the pages in anticipation of what would happen next. The characters are well-developed and lovable, I truly wanted the best for them. I connected with the characters as a woman and parent. The special olympics line of the story opened my eyes to a wonderful event that brings joy and triumph to many. I couldn't help but want to be in the crowd, cheering these kids on. Overall, this book is a great story full of wonderful characters and a charming group of children that inspired me to keep my chin up, no matter what is going on. I highly recommend this book!
