I 've been dying for this book since the author announced she was doin a new MC series. I m a huge fan of her other books so I couldnt wait for this book. I was a lil scared cause I loved them so much but I wasn't disappointed at all. The story was brilliant I couldn't get enough once I started it.
The story is about Scarlett she's a top country singer. Scarlett loves her singing it feels like her life isn't her own anymore. All she as is people telling her what to do every 5 mins and she can't deal with it anymore. She tries to escape where she can and one nite she ends up talking to some guy. His voice is sexy husky and deep and it did something to her but she never saw the face to the voice until a few days later and she washed disappointed at all.
Maverick is a member of the Iron Fury MC. He is taking some time out from the MC when he bumps into Scarlett. Maverick needed some time way from his brothers things had happened that made it hard for him to stay. Seeing Scarlett and talking to her seem to take his mind off everything. Scarlett is gorgeous sexy and has a voice of angel just what Maverick needed. He just did expect for her to get so under his skin.
I really enjoyed the mix of MC and rockstar in this book. I wasn't quite sure about it when I heard what the story was goin to be. I have to say I was very surprised how good it was. I got sucked into the story straight away. I really liked the relationship Scarlett and Maverick had. They really suited each other even though you had Scarlett this sweet country singer and Maverick who is this strong hard biker. Though there is a soft side to Maverick that you can help but love he has been through his own hell and is still dealing with it. You mite also think that Scarlett is this sweet cute girl but she has had to deal with her own hell as well. This is what makes these to characters so good together.
I can't believe this book ended where is did. Then it says it's not a cliffy what else can you call it. It left me dying for more which ye is great but I don't want to wait I want it now. I really can't believe the author said it's not a cliffy.
Overall I really enjoyed the book. I loved the characters Scarlett and Maverick are just brilliant. I like how the author has as started to create another relationship with the other characters i m looking forward to more of that. I would recommend this book its hard to put down once you start.
Maverick went nomad after losing someone close to him. He's hurting and is trying to work through his feelings before he returns to Iron Fury MC. He's still trying to get a hold on his anger but he's not really the cold hearted biker I was expecting. There's a softer, protective side to Mav that had me swooning all over the place. On his journey he meets Scarlett, the famous country music star with the face and voice of an angel. There's something about the sad, resigned young woman that intrigues him and he finds himself unable to stay away.
Scarlett should be happy. She's a successful music star, currently on tour and loved by millions. But behind her happy facade she's barely holding on. Completely isolated, she finds herself feeling even more and more alone and unheard. She's constantly surrounded by people but has no real friends. Needing some time to just breathe, Scarlett finds herself talking to an understanding stranger one night who she can hear but can't see and feels an instant connection with her mystery man. For the first time in a long while she feels like someone's actually listening her.
When they meet up again and eventually start spending time together secretly, Maverick feels the need to keep Scarlett safe increasing. When Scarlett's past comes back to haunt her, Maverick calls in to his brothers for help but is Scarlett who he thinks she is? Or is she pulling the will over his eyes?
I loved Scarlett and Mav. I felt so sorry and annoyed for Scarlett. She's a sweet kind woman who just so happens to be famous. Maverick is the perfect mix of arrogance, attitude and sweetness and I loved the friendship he builds with Scarlett. With Max's brother and the president of the MC, and a couple of other brothers making an appearance, this series gets off to a brilliant start without overwhelming you by meeting the full club in one go. Full of suspense, loads of sexual chemistry and some great banter, I struggled to put this book down. I can't wait for the next book...and the one after that...you get the idea ;)
Scarlett Belle, biggest country singer in America. Exhausted and on the verge of breaking, being lonely and unable to go anywhere or do anything due to the demands of her career is enough to drive any girl to tears. Then comes the deep, husky voice "That's the prettiest damn cry I've ever heard". One guy with the power of words and actions is able to show her what it's like to be free again. The question is can they be free together because their lives are polar opposites from each other?
I am a long time fan of Bella Jewel's books and it's very rare she writes a book I don't like. Recently Bella has been writing romance thriller so when I heard she was writing a new MC series I may have got a tad excited and jumped for joy. I loved every second of it and just couldn't get enough.
Maverick is all sorts of alpha yummy and certainly a hit with the ladies especially in the bedroom because he certainly likes to take charge and know' what he wants. Scarlett took me a while to warm up to but once I did she became really likeable. Both characters have sadness in their lives and you get to learn their journey throughout the book. I really needed more of an ending with these two but by the quickness of the ending I am presuming their story will continue. I need the next book like now so I am glad we don't have long to wait.
