I bought this book because I've had an earlier version for several years and the law has changed somewhat since it was published.
The laws of leasehold have developed since the middle ages, with plenty of updates over the years, including recently, so they're a strange mixture of ancient and modern. This book explains the ins and outs of leasehold law in an easily understood way. I recommend it to anyone who's thinking of buying a flat or maisonette, either to live in themselves or as an investment property. Although obviously it won't answer every possible question, it'll give you a good grounding so you can make sense of a lease and understand what your solicitor is talking about.
