Good book, if a bit outdated (pre CD era, so not the last word in current technology!). The book does however, offer sound advice on what to look out for when buying a basic sound system - audio basics that are still relevant today. Be warned though, this book is aimed at the 'beginner' to the world of Hi Fi and in no way does it offer much to those of us who already have a 'just above average' grasp of audio science.
