This is a decently written book.

There are two plots involved which are interlinked but very different. The first is a romance between the two characters. Overall it is a sweet romance. The massive downfall is the lack of development with the characters. I never connected with them nor did I feel that they were really delved into by the author as they should have been.

The second plot which takes up as many pages as the former regards the disappearance of the main female characters brother in Zimbabwe. I actually loved this plot. It was something completely different. The author went into great depth with Brady (says something that I remember his name and not the other two main characters names!) and his whole plot was more riveting.

It was an interesting and slightly odd mesh of plots. And if the first one had been stronger it would have really helped the book.

Where to start with this book, this is so much more than a fluffy love story, it has a very real and dark underbelly that is the catalyst of the story. I have to say this author is not one to shy away from subjects that can be controversial and as I have come to expect she does the matter a great deal of justice in her research and understanding.

A chance meeting brings Brynne and Fenton together when he finds her lost phone but the instant attraction between them leads them into a cruel twist of fate for Brynne and when the truth emerges it leaves her questioning if she can trust him. Brynne’s life is in limbo as she struggles to cope with the devastation of her brother being in a situation that could cost him his life, and an ex that is lingering around, so when Fenton offers her a chance to get away Brynne decides, with a little cajoling from her friend, to take the risk in the hopes that she can move on with her life. I really liked Brynne she is feisty, fun and likes to push Fenton’s buttons.

Fenton Abbot is a great character, he is mysterious and perhaps a little guarded in the businesses he runs and his private life. I was rooting for him through the book to do the right thing and I loved the sacrifices he made to help Brynne and her family.

The scenes that stood out for me in this book revolved around Brady, Brynne’s brother, and how a family copes with the anguish of such a situation, the dread of the phone ringing, the fallout from the messages and recordings, the anger at those in power that seem to be doing nothing to end the situation. Adriana really did these matters justice in how she portrayed the brave public front Brynne wore and her anguish behind closed doors.

I loved the ending to this story and I am really hoping that we get some more from Brady and Presley.

Byrnne hasn't had the best time of late, in fact it's been horrible and sometimes traumatic; cheating boyfriend, kidnapped brother. But when the charming, domineering, handsome and powerful Fenton finds her phone and returns it to her with a surprising proposition she decided maybe fate might be rewarding her. She takes a chance but will it really be that easy? And is Fenton hiding something that could break whatever they were building?

“When I saw your picture this morning, there was something in your eyes that reeled me in. Yes, you’re insanely beautiful. And now I know you’re intelligent and funny. But there’s still something behind those blue—or is it green?—eyes that I want to discover.”

This is honestly one of the best stand alone romances I have read in a while. Such engaging characters, an exciting romance, intriguing and attention grabbing plot line and just an all round brilliant read!

“Are you denying it? You think you wouldn’t go home with me tonight? Do you want to pretend you’re not wondering what I’d feel like slipping inside you? Because I know you are. You want me so badly you can’t think of anything else."

Both Brynne and Fenton were brilliant, engaging characters. Brynne was beautiful inside and out; a strong young woman going through a really hard time and although she has her moments where she needs to cry and let it out she remains strong throughout and determined to find out answers and not let anyone walk over her!

“The last few days have been some of the best days I’ve ever experienced. I want you to know that,” he professes. “You are such a special person, Brynne. I’ll always be grateful for the day you lost your phone.

Wherever It Leads was all of the things! It’s not just another love story. It’s an amazing love adventure that enveloped me quickly within the pages! I did NOT want this experience to end!

Fenton Abbott. Whoa. God almighty. Holy hell. I am so bent, I don’t think I’ll ever get over him! I was addicted to this fine man from the first sentence he spoke. Jesus! I swear I could hear his cashmere voice. And with every word, I felt his presence. He’s a sexy, alpha, dirty talker. He’s magnetic. He’s altruistic. He’s a protector. He’s an Adonis. He’s every freaking thing! And I. Was. Mesmerized. Brynne is one lucky lady. Mmmhmm.

When Fenton and Brynne met for the first time...I swear to god, I felt his gaze slam me just like Brynne did. I could FEEL their attraction INSTANTLY. The chemistry between these two was like bombs dropping everywhere. BOOM. I was intoxicated with lust....I couldn’t look away, I was entranced. I felt weak in the knees. I felt desire and NEED. And I NEEDED things to happen with these two, like NOW. Well let me tell you Adriana did not disappoint. Whew! The steamy scenes were hot as sin! I swear I felt the heat searing me from the pages. But their love story was more than just the sexy moments. It was sexy, fun and heart warming! The story line was original and intense at times. It was mysterious and gripping. It was gut wrenching and emotional. There were a few scenes that brought me to my knees. My heart shattered, I felt like I was right there with Fenton and Brynne. I definitely felt all the feels! And I LOVED it! I couldn’t put this book down!

Adriana is such an artistic and skillful writer, I can never get enough. I love her style.
