The images in this book as gorgeous, really attractive, striking bright colour. The words have a great rhythm and are fun to read. My little one (age 2) does find it hard to locate the cat in some of the pictures though which is the only reason I've marked it down a star. It's great fun to search for the cat, read the words when you can't find it but then it your child still can't find it when given a clue they can understandably get a bit frustrated and not want to return to the book in future. Perhaps it's just one he'll like better in future.

My 8 month old son adores this book! Like all Barefoot books it is beautifully illustrated, hard-wearing (!) and lots of fun. Each page engages the child and encourages dialogue and discussion - although a bit one-sided at the moment!

We bought this book at a motorway stop for a little Dutch boy (18 months) - my other half's nephew. It has charted as his favourite book and insist that we all read to him this book at all times. The quality is very good (thick board) and lovely colourful pictures. I myself was drawn to it as I was loooking for the cat myself at each page. He adores and intensely looking for the cat (and ball and other various objects in the book) and then gets very excited. Top stuff. It's very interactive between you and the child as you both are looking for things together.

This is a beautiful children's book. Each page has a cat hiding in the picture, maybe only a pair of ears or whiskers can be seen, and you turn over to find out where the cat is. The colourful illustrations are accompanied by rhyming text. It's a lovely book to look at - wonderfully illustrated. Even young babies like the vivid colours and patterns, and toddlers love hunting for the cat. Highly recommended.
