I don't really see the connection with Harry Potter. This is a time travelling tale. Robert slips back in time each time he rubs his eyes whilst looking at a picture. The novel is very much episodic; each 'journey' takes place in a different time with different characters. It's completely enthralling, and beautifully written. The one flaw I think it has is that there are loose ends left in each journey as Robert slips back in time, and you soon realise these are going to remain unresolved. Fascinating stuff though.

I enjoyed this book just as much as any Harry Potter book. It is just as magical, but it has a different type of magic. This book has a purpose, a journey to it. Where the HP books just tell a story about a wizard boy. This boy however is trying to get home. The best type of story in my mind, is the fight to get home.
Just as gripping as any HP book. I seriously recommend it.
