My daughter has started getting interested in where she comes from and looked through all the baby books we have on our shelves,as she continues to do.My wife looked for a simpler form for better understanding and found this book, she was so excited to get it in the post ,tore the package open whooped for joy and settled down to read, and read it she did with real fascination, she has reread it several times since not losing any of the interest she had the first time, and demands it at times as bedtime reading.
This book was an excellent purchase.

We purchased this book when our 3-year old daughter started to wonder how her new baby brother or sister was going to get out of Mummy's tummy. It has lots of clear cross-section diagrams & uncomplicated text about pregnancy & birth, with only a two pages on how the baby got inside mummy to start with. The two pages on genetics went above her head but with so many pictures we were able to pick & choose the bits that interested her. Very useful.

Just the right amount of information in this book to help answer the questions of my 6 year old. She started asking questions that I needed diagrams to answer and this fit the bill. We read it together and it encouraged more questions that we could talk about. I did leave out the last bit about chromosomes until she's a bit older.

I bought this to try and explain to my 2.5 year old about the baby in my 'tummy'.It was definately too advanced for my little girl. But ive kept it in storage because no doubt when shes school age it will be a useful guide. The book I ordered was a 2nd hand copy and is quite tatty, but i didnt pay very much for it so cant complain.
