This book is inspirational. The message to young people is so strong and so sensitively portrayed. The illustrations make the magical story come to life in a delicate way. It is so important that young people understand about the effect they can have on environmental issues and this book will bring about many interesting discussions.

Format: Paperback
This beautifully illustrated book has a lively story with excellent values, both moral values and ecological values. It is a welcome addition to the home library of any young child. The adults or teenagers in the family will enjoy reading it to the little ones. Thez little ones will learn to recognize animals, even those they don't know in person! Such freshness and warmth. The pictures are in particularly well-chosen colours, and add immensely to the story.

My elder daughter was bought this yesterday and has already read it twice to her little sister. They both love the charming pictures and my elder daughter was amazed that a real person could paint so well. This book is the right length, my children love the use of language with repetition and the inclusion of occasional 'power' words to extend vocabulary. I can see this being a night time favourite!
