David Waller writes tolerably well: his background on the Financial Times Lex column ensures that the English is businesslike and well shaped. My problem with Wheels on Fire rests with the author's complete lack of objectivity. His account of the transatlantic mega-merger between Daimler and Chrysler is so twisted in favour of Daimler, it is embarrassing. I came away choked by the level of distortion that is dished up in the guise of well-balanced journalism. He should be ashamed at such a wasted opportunity.
