This book is great. It says it is suitable for between 3 - 10 year olds but I think it may suit those older than 10 too. It is divided into the 4 seasons with seasonal things to make and do eg make a valentines day / mothers day card; make a herb planter; make a bird house; papier mache; make christmas decorations etc etc. Also, for everthing it tells you how to make, it gives a list of the things that you will need in order to make it.

This is a lovely book with lots of ideas for crafts and activities. I have a 3 year old and there are things she can do (I have previously bought 'children's crafts ' books I have found some of them don't cater for younger children). The range of activities is good, there are plenty of ideas for different ages and abilities. I particularly like the fact that it is separated into 'Seasons'. The instructions and pictures are clear and easy to follow. Recommended !

This isn't a bad book, but there are others out there that do it better - for example Green Crafts for Children (Emma Hardy)which has many similarities but is a better book in my opinion. Some of the materials used in 'What Shall we do Today?' are not that easy to come by, and the projects are not always that well explained - for example the herb planter starts out being terracotta, but nowhere does it tell you what kind of paint they have used to make it white - etc. Just a bit annoying. And some of the ideas are a bit billy basic - planting cress in eggshells has been done to death, surely? Saying that, there are a handful of really lovely, fun projects, but I'm glad I got it out of the library and didn't part with any cash for it!

as a mum with two creative pre-schoolers i am always on the look out for new things to do with them, especially on rainy days. this is an excellent book for all ages of kids, something for everyone to do in it. only thing is to make sure that you have the necessary materials in advance, which can take a bit of organising.
well worth it, would recommend.
