Product description

From the Publisher

Team Angelica Publishing is the latest venture from Team Angelica, the ground-breaking film and theatre company, and the brainchild of Team Angelica's founder, multi-award-winning writer-director Rikki Beadle-Blair, creator of the feature-films Fit, KickOff and Bashment and the musical play Stonewall, (as well as being screenwriter of the original cult film), and writer, director and star of cult TV show Metrosexuality.

`The aim of Team Angelica Publishing,' says Rikki, whose anti-homophobic bullying film Fit has been seen by tens of thousands of UK schoolchildren over the last two years, `is to put out work that is transformative, that celebrates difference and diversity, and that has a radical and queer spirit.'

The fledgling imprint's first publications are Rikki's own What I Learned Today, a 365-day guide to self-empowerment and creative self-realisation inspired by his successful Facebook column, and imprint co-founder John R Gordon's novel of gay Yardie life in London, Faggamuffin.

About the Author

Rikki Beadle-Blair was born and raised in South London. He attended the Bermondsey Lampost Free School where he could study whatever he liked and so focused on the arts and entertainment. He makes films, theatre, music, dance and art. His production company Team Angelica has developed several plays and films, including `Bashment', `Fit', `KickOff', `Taken In' and the South London Passion Plays. Passionate about encouraging creativity and self-expression, Rikki has developed several courses under the `In the Room' banner to facilitate creative career advancement.
