About the Author

Blair Babylon is the nom de plume of an award-winning, USA Today bestselling author who regularly publishes literary and suspense fiction. Because professional reviews of her other fiction usually included the caveat that there was too much deviant sex and too much twisty-turny plot, she decided to abandon all literary pretensions, let her freak flag fly, and write hot, sexy, erotic romance and wild, suspenseful thrillers, science fiction, and urban fantasy.

Rhiannon is hired as a back-up singer for Killer Valentine. her contract includes an iron-clad no-fraternization clause. The bands manager Jonas Rees and Rhiannon cannot deny the attraction between them, a slip up from Jonas has Killer Valentines lead singer demanding Rhiannon choose between music and love.

I read a really bad Rock Star romance in the past, so was nervous when giving this type of romance story a chance. Well the saying 'Never judge a book by its cover' certainly rang true in this instance! I can proudly say I am now converted!
I really loved Rhiannon's character. She makes no excuses for who or what she is, or what she wants from life. She turns up for her audition in a summer dress, no costumes or trying to look the part, unlike the other applicants. Rhiannon allows her talent to do all the talking! When propositioned by Tryp, Rhiannon gives an honest answer, refusing Tryp and surprising Xan. I loved this side of Rhiannon. She's selfless in her thoughts and actions throughout the book, truly loves her art and takes no crap from anyone!
I enjoyed the build up to the romance/relationship between Rhiannon and Jonas and although strong and in control on the outside, when together we get to see a little bit of vulnerability to them.
As always Blair has created a fantastic new series with great well rounded new characters, including a host of funny, dark and broody support characters. I loved the playfulness between Tryp and Rhiannon and I can't help but wonder what Tryp, Rade and Grayson are hiding behind their drug use! I cannot wait to find out about all these new characters as the series continues!
So don't waste any time, one click away, you know if a book has Blairs name on it, you're going to love it!

I received a complimentary copy, in exchange for an honest review.

A wild whirlwind of a story that will leave you reevaluating what the most important things in life are. Once this mysterious train leaves the station, be prepared for a no-holds barred peek into the life of an up-and-coming rock band. Not only will you see life as it appears from our perspective, but you will see it first hand from a character who invests her heart and soul to be a part of their world. It’s not always pretty, but its honesty will challenge the hearts of all involved and force them to decide what matters most.

Rhiannon has spent most of her adult life doing everything possible to break into the sacred yet fickle world of music. She lives out a meager existence meeting only the barest of her needs in order to lavish what she can on voice lessons, music instruction, band experience, and anything else she can possibly find to help make her more appealing to the music business. All of her hard work seems to pay off when she is hired as a backup singer to the hottest new rock band in the industry – Killer Valentine. Will all of her sacrificing and hard work pay off with this incredible opportunity, or will this become her greatest nightmare by far?

Rhiannon is an amazing character who immediately captured my attention and my heart. She wasn’t the picture of perfection by any means and yet there was something that enraptured the lead singer of Killer Valentine to want to hire her immediately after her audition. Xan saw something in her that led him to believe that she was more then she seemed. He was willing to take a huge chance on an unknown nobody like her because he could see the fire and the potential that lay dormant in her heart.

Rhiannon is her own person trying to make it in the music business, she literally has nothing but her voice which she spends all her money on. RhiannonIs given the opportunity to audition for a band, who turn out to be the up and coming killer valentines. She would be the replacement backing singer , who left under a cloud because of a relationship with a band member that has gone wrong.
She signs a 3 month contract that stipulates no fraternising with the band. They start touring the U S and it becomes apparent that the band have some serious problems including substance abuse and Xan Valentines (lead singer) drive to be at the top, which put a strane not only on the band but also his voice.
Rhiannon Finds solace in her friendship with Jonus the band brilliant and troubleshooting manager, he is their babysitter to the the overgrown babies that are Killer Valentine. Although the boys of the band have major problems they all have likeable if not loveable characters.
Rhiannon finds herself quickly becoming an integral part of the band she begins to get noticed not just for her incredible talent but also for her personality and caring about other people. This book is a great start to what promises to be a brilliant series.
I was given this e book exchange for an honest review

All Rhiannon has wanted to do is sing, when her agent arranges a back up singer audition with a difference...... a non-disclosure agreement she doesn't know what to think. When she is called up next and realises who and why, Rhiannon does what she can only do and sings her heart out.

Jonas Rees is the band manager of Killer Valentine and is against getting a back up singer especially with how many problems it can cause, but not only that he is keeping one other secret and Rhiannon is finding out just what she is letting herself in for. Include the clause in the contract and other band members problems what will happen?

As the months pass by Jonas and Rhiannon start a noon gym meet up where a connection is made, but this all changes...
After another concert Rade (one of the "terrible threesome") makes a bad decision which Rhiannon excepts could help her, but then is left to try and fix it before she could get fired. When they get back to the hotel emotions are high and after Jonas finds out what had happened he offers "a drink in his room?" what could honestly go wrong???

What will happen to the terrible threesome in the band?

What will Rhiannon decide to do?

How will Xan cope with his problem?

ARC received :)
