About the Author

USA Today bestseller Stacy Kestwick is a Southern girl who firmly believes mornings should be outlawed. Her perfect day would include lounging on a hammock with a good book, carbohydrates, and the people around her randomly breaking into choreographed song-and-dance routines. It would not include bacon, cleaning, or anything requiring patience.

Wet is the first book in Stacy Kestwick's Waters Edge Series and her debut novel. It was a fun, delectable read, that I couldn't put down. It incorporated everything I like about a good romance.

It had quite the "steam" but at the same time maintaining witty banter, a fun playful romance with sassy characters that were realistic allowing me to connect with them on so many levels as their flaws, insecurities and dynamics of their "undefined" relationship were relatable. I have to admit I really liked Sadie and West and routed for them...you can't help falling for a cocky, funny, full of himself alpha matched against a sassy, strong minded herione.

Overall an engaging read that I would recommend and a fantastic debut novel from the author, be warned though it ends on a cliffy...

A great read from start to finish. Hilariously funny scenes throughout but with a big cliff hanger ending. Sadie Mullins engaged to be married finds things aren't quite what they seem when she overhears a conversation between her fiancé and his friend. Left shocked and distraught she packed up and moves away to live with her best friend Rue, finds a new job for the summer and hopes a fresh start is what she needs. West Montgomery is exactly what she's not looking for, play boy around town, girls just can't seem to keep away. Drawn like a moth to a flame, Sadie can't seem to help herself. Unlike West who doesn't do girlfriends, he seems to be the one doing the chasing. With his ex Aubrey intent on ruining their relationship, things just keep getting in the way and going from bad to worse with for Sadie. I'd definitely recommend.

I have to admit the title didn't encourage me to buy this book. However this book was an unexpected treasure. It was very well written in a style I enjoy and I loved it. Hooked from the start.
I was late leaving the review and I've just got my preordered book 2 which reminded me to leave a review

Wait, what?! How can you leave it like that?
Absolutely loved this book. Such a joy to read even if the ending was a little unexpected. I was looking for a nice easy read with not a lot of drama and in "Wet" I found it. Can not wait for book two.

This was a tonic, one that just let me escape.
Sadie is the main female character and dear lord she is a dippy mare – so sweet, funny and kind – she brought a smile to lips that when reading her was practically a permanent fixture. I say practically because there were times when I just wanted to knock some sense into her and tell her to get a grip and take control of her relationship with West rather than pussy foot around.
West on the other hand is a “marmite” character – you will either love him or hate him – me, I loved him I think he is just thick rather than he is conniving. He hasn’t a clue what he is doing most of the time or more to the point he has no idea how much of an absolute idiot he is being.
Then there is Aubrey – don’t get me started on that witch – I could have reached into my kindle and ripped her eyelashes out one by one!
She was a sly and manipulative as they came but always found a way to deflect any suspicions and blame. The woman could be a politician, she was an expert in her craft.
The peripheral characters gave enough detail in their stories that I hope they too get to share some more of their lives with us in future books especially Rue and Grady but if I can plead for anything in the next book then please let it be that Sadie gets to kick Aubrey’s butt!

4.5 Stars

Wet is book #1 in the Waters Edge Series and the first book i have read by this author. I was gifted a copy of the book to read for Gemma Reads Too Much.

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant, Wet is funny and light hearted.

Sadie is incredibly sweet, she’s unwittingly hilarious and I just really liked her. I struggled with her inability to be up front with West, if you are frustrated by not defining you relationship then ask the bl**dy question!!!

I needed her to grow a pair and man up a bit. Or possibly just b*tch slap Aubrey, either would work for me!!!

Sadie is incredibly relatable she’s awkward at times and she felt normal, I really liked that about her,

West is to be honest a bit of a d*ck, but I don’t even think he knows that he’s doing it!! His actions swing from sweet and incredibly thoughtful to douche in one foul swoop.

But I see huge potential in West, I’m really hopeful that he is just clueless rather than manipulative.

Aubrey what an evil b*tch!!! She’s a brilliant bad guy because she sugar coats it all. She could take a bath in horse poo and come out smelling of roses.

I’m convinced she will get her comeuppance and I for one can’t wait to see it!!!

Ok so Rue and Grady there’s a book there n I’m sooooo intrigued!!?

Let’s talk about sex baby…. Wheww the sex is smoking hot!!!! It’s passionate but raw and almost a bit dirty.

I need the next book like right now!!! Some author stalking might have to take place!!!

Wet is great I loved every minute it gets 4.5 stars from me!
