What a read!! ''''''
Paul is a good guy, through and through, however he also has an addiction to sex,he's determined to put those one night stands where they belong,in the past. Paul wants a real relationship, full of love and kids, From the very first chapter I was hooked! Holy heck! What a start,I knew then that Ruth had done it again, she had written another beautiful.sexy and funny story that would become one of my firm favourites.
Elle has a dirty mouth, hilarious but dirty and I loved it. Such well rounded characters you can't fail to adore. I found myself thinking about them during my everyday tasks, that's when I knew that Paul and Elle had gotten under my skin.
I've been a fan of Ruth's for some years now and every story she's written I've found to be 'another favourite' Wet is my 'new' favourite '

Never heard of the author before, but so pleased I took a chance. Great story line about a mature couple who for change, were not acting silly! Loved Paul's family and they interacted.....how anyone can say this family was over the top, surprises me! They are families exactly like that! Definitely going check out other titles by the author!

I loved Ruth’s previous work so was happy to get hold of an advance copy. Its a light breezy love story with a small angsty part but for the most part its quite fluffy. This story had scope to be a 5* fly off the shelves book but it just didn't reach its potential. The cover and the synopsis were exciting and made me desperate to read and although it was a very good book it didn't thrill me Like the cover and synopsis suggested. Ruth has, like many of my favourites, a breezy writing style thats quite casual and flows effortlessly.

Paul has given up being a man whore and is trying to abstain until love but while helping his dad out he comes across the one to test his metal and by lord does she test him ! Over time they develop a tense friendship with Paul falling for the girl who doesn't want a relationship but she is desperate for his “Anaconda”. Elle has been in a relationship where the guy totally stripped her self confidence and she believes she isn't meant to have a happy ever after and she decides that tinder hook ups will be better for her until she meets Paul.he questions everything she has believed up till now. the main character in this book is SEX hard to believe as there isn't much actual sex in the book but its so much a part of the story. Paul and Ellie are very likeable and relatable and its a good sign that i imagined then in my head as i went along. it appeared that Ellie forgot a major emotional and physical event pretty quickly in the book but as always thats just my opinion. Paul’s family were exceptional and i loved how they all became amazing secondary characters.

i really enjoyed this book its a solid 4* I really didn't like then ending I felt it was blunt and could have been drawn out, i suppose this is paving way for a second book.

3.5⭐️

I was very excited to read Wet by Ruth Clampett. I love the cover and the blurb was so different that I just had to read it.
My favorite type of leading males are the ones that don't have the expected jobs, which is one of the many perks of reading Clampett's works, and Wet is no different with Paul McNeil being a Landscape Architect. It also has a strong independent leading lady, Elle Jacoby, who is an Event Coordinator.
Starting this book I loved the witty banter and the fact that it was a slow burn. The issues that I had, and they are mine alone, was that every time I thought the embers we're going to combust, it ended up sparking and then going back to glowing. There were a few times things weren't clear for me, that they didn't seem needed in the plot, so I had to reread a few things for them to make sense.
There IS a HEA and it is glorious and very promising. I'm not sure if Miss Ruth plans on expanding/continuing Elle & Paul's romance, but she definitely left it open for it, while still leaving us satisfied.

Going to be honest, I picked it to read from the cover and the title. It wasn't anything like I expected.

Paul a recovering sex addict meets Elle, a recent divorcee. He is looking for his one true love and she is looking for meaningless sex. Pretty sure the Wet came from Paul's dad's sprinkler/landscaping business.

There is some fun banter between Paul and Elle that made me laugh. His family is dysfunctional enough to be entertaining.

I had trouble a few times staying with the story but the ending brought it all back around.
