Official review of the Hammer's Premiership campaign in 2000/2001, a season most fans would like to forget. After a very poor start, West Ham came back and were soon challenging for a UEFA cup place, with strikers Di Canio and Kanoute in sparkling form, as well as veteran defenders Winterburn and Stuart Pearce. But it soon fell apart and they entered the relegation zone. The goals dried up and the resignation of long-serving manager Harry Redknapp did not help. It went to the last three games before their fate was decided, just managing to avoid relegation.
