As a seven-year-old, Wendy had three dreams - to work in the library she loved, to be a teacher and to become a writer.
Her first dream came true when she began work in the children's library of her home town, Llanelli, and it was great fun. Later, she trained as a primary school teacher, and she thoroughly enjoyed teaching in schools in Wales and Berkshire.
Eventually she wrote her first book for children, 'Welsh Cakes and Custard', published by Gwasg Gomer Press. It won the Tir na n-Og Award in 2014 and she has written a further two books, 'Three Cheers for Wales' and 'St David's Day is Cancelled'.
She also writes for adults as Sara Gethin.
