Ana and Elijah's story is filled with lust, desire and need as well as pain, heartache and regrets. In fact Elijah downright P#%!*d me off so bad at one point (my heart sank and I cried "NO" out loud to no one in particular) but that's what makes the book so raw and emotional because people make mistakes....it's real! But more than anything this book encompasses love and trust and even when two people who don't belong together fit so right and they are so perfect together that it just couldn't ever be wrong!
Carmen Jenner is on my radar now and I'm not letting her go, I can't wait to dive into the next book!
Oh just one more thing Carmen Jenner is funny too, I giggled and laughed out loud at times. This book has it all!
Ana is kick arse. Love it when there is a strong female lead. Sammy...awww. Holly, that chick is a laugh.
The characters are fab and make the book such an enjoyable read.
The story is full of drama, angst, and heartbreak. It keeps you engaged and enthralled from beginning to end. I loved every word.
The one liners in this book had me laughing out loud, making me look like a bit of an egg on the tube. Totally worth it!
Ana bakes pies in her dad's shop. Elijah is a gawjus, hulking bike mechanic who comes to Sugartown and works in her dad's garage. The pacing is steady as the thing between them builds, with lots of cute banter and simmering looks. Loved it.
Then it switched to something else entirely when they run into some people from his past. It was like I'd fallen into another story altogether. I'm not a fan of violence and bloodshed and brutality so I didn't really enjoy the middle section.
This ends well, but by then, I wasn't sure whether I was enjoying the story or not. The writing is better than average but some of the content made this hard to read at times. If you enjoy a darker read you'll probably enjoy this one.
loved the characters
im looking forward to reading more from Carmen
Great story line
all it takes is that one someone to turn up out the blue and you notice them
all hot and with a bike what more could you ask for ....its a Rollercoaster of a book but awesome
