Product description

About the Author

For the last five years Stuart has assisted on the National Autistic Society's Parent 2 Parent helpline and currently works with profoundly autistic children in a special school. When he was 30 he married Ana and, so that they could obtain a mortgage and start a family, he quit his successful, yet intermittent, career in contract cleaning for a more stable profession in bookmaking. His years of training in these two different service industries were to throw him into the paths of people from all walks of life, and he consequently developed excellent interpersonal skills. At 35 he became a father and his communication expertise was tested to the limit as his quest to try and understand his autistic son began. His emotive book relives his journey and documents new insights and an understanding of autistic reality that will help and inspire the next generation of parents with an autistic child.
