It tells why as a cyclist (or triathlete for that matter) you need to work in the gym, and why you are different to body builders or other type of sports.
It can be used for a simple work out to follow in the off season or if you are very keen you can plan out a whole year of training to complement your racing periodization.
I found it great as a reference, and to udnerstand what my coach was sending me to the gym to do in more depth.
