Chloe and Shaw have been friends forever- since childhood, they share a lifetime bond so when Shaw loses his wife Samantha to a hit and run accident, Shaw turns to Chloe for the comfort and the support he needs. Only the support and comfort comes in the form of really hot sex. Every Wednesday night Shaw pays Chloe a visit and even though Chloe knows it is wrong - she can't resist him. Chloe's feelings for Shaw has always extended beyond friendship but she was just never brave enough to tell him. This a a dilemma and although she wants to be there for her friend she knows deep down that there is much more to it for her, she loves him and in the meantime her poor heart is getting trampled all over. Shaw has some serious issue's to deal with he takes it out on Chloe in the bedroom.
Told in duel POV, this gives us a much better insight into the personalities and the mindset of our characters. Hot scorching sex adds to the fun, angst and the romance of this wonderful book. A must read !!!!!!
This was a great short read, the characters were likable, the story line was good and the sex bits were as hot as hell. I would definitely recommend, you won't be disappointed.
This is the story of Chloe and Shaw, they have been best friends since they were kids. Sadly Shaw recently lost his wife Samantha, and he turned to Chloe for comfort and support. That support came in the form of hot and dirty sex. Every Wednesday night Shaw pays a visit to Chloe, and Chloe is always there waiting with open arms willing to help Shaw escape his grief in her for one night a week.
I felt for Shaw, he had my sympathy, but I also really felt for Chloe. Being used by Shaw for nothing but a distraction from his grief whilst she desperately wanted him to look at her in the way she sees him; Chloe has had feelings for Shaw that go beyond friendship for a long time. Chloe is determined to be there for her best friend the way he needs her to be, but whilst she's giving him what he needs her heart is being bashed around in the process.
This is a short read but what it lacks in length is more than made up for in the quality of the writing and the depth of the story and the chemistry between the main characters. I really enjoy Kendall's writing style, I find I can easily connect with the characters she writes and become easily invested in their stories.
I love a short read every now and then, I always find that they are great for dragging you out of a reading funk. Like if you find yourself in one of those moods where you don't have the attention span to connect with a book and just can't get into it, a short read always gets me back on track and lifts me out of that funk. This book is one of the best short reads I've read in a long time. I highly recommend it.
One last thing, that epilogue, love love loved it!
