Tilly Tennant is an amazing author anyway. However this book is one of her best I feel. I loved it. So much so that I read it in a day. I could not put it down. I finished it a 2am last night. I will not describe the plot as I personally hate it when I see a spoiler. I will say however, that I loved the main character Kate and her funny sisters. I also had a bit of a soft spot for Alessandro, well he was Italian. Seriously though if you want to escape for a couple of hours and just chill with a great book then this is for you.
I just loved this book! I read Rome is Where the Heart is a couple of weeks ago and when I saw on Twitter that there was a sequel I knew I had to have it. I couldn't wait to find out more about Kate and Alessandro and to see how their relationship was progressing. I was not disappointed. Tilly Tennant really makes the reader feel that they are in Rome, her descriptions of Italian life are just perfect and I loved getting to know more about Alessandro's family. If you like a romantic, feel good, happy read you will not be disappointed.
I think this and it's prequel would make a fantastic film!! Definitely a hallmark romance. It transports you to Rome and includes the typical Italian family drama's warts and all. Loved both books couldn't put them down. Tilly is a writer with the ability to take the reader into the story. Looking forward to reading more of her books.
I read the first book 'Rome is were the heart is' and thoroughly enjoyed it so keen to see how the story evolved. Although predictable 'A wedding in Italy' did not disappoint. Light and easy to read, I really cared about the characters. Would love a further book about their lives after. The author managed to create the atmosphere of being in Rome. A real feel good story. Both books need to be as they are one story.
I loved book 2, I loved the continuing relationship between Kate and Alessandro with all it's ups and downs. Maria and her best friend were a bit repetitive but overall it was great. It's chick lit and I did enjoy the length of the book - it gave more time for the story to develop. More please.
I have just finished reading A Wedding in Italy by Tilly Tennant. It was fantastic, and I stayed up very late last night reading this as I could not put it down. A feel good wonderful story. I loved Kate and Allesandro and all Allesandro's family. Well done Tilly. Maureen.
I adored this book and it's prequel. So much so that I bought and finished them both, over the Easter weekend. I've been to Rome, and these wonderful books bought back many memories of my time there. I loved the characters, and I am a little in love with Alessandro :) Looking forward to reading more of your books, hopefully some more set somewhere hot and sunny?
