Can her heart be mended too?
After losing her fiancé and her dream job in the same week, Garland Fairford's life is turned upside down.
Having recently met a long-lost relative - Honey Fairford - through her work as a historical costumier, Garland is intrigued when Honey reveals she is opening a Wedding Dress museum in Lancashire. With nothing to lose, Garland accepts the offer of a job there.
What she doesn't expect is to come face-to-face with a ghost from her past - her old friend, Thom, who mysteriously disappeared years ago.
As Garland begins reading the stories behind each of the beautiful wedding dresses, and sets about repairing both them and her relationship with Thom, could this finally be the chance for her own happy-ever-after?

About the author

Sunday Times Top Ten bestselling novelist Trisha Ashley writes romantic comedies and her latest book, The Wedding Dress Repair Shop, will be published in 2023 by Transworld.
Her novels have twice been shortlisted for the Melissa Nathan Award for Romantic Comedy, and Every Woman for Herself was nominated by magazine readers as one of the top three romantic novels of the last fifty years.
She is from St Helens in West Lancashire, and believes that her typically dark Lancashire sense of humour in adversity, crossed with a good dose of Celtic creativity from her Welsh grandmother, has made her what she is today... whatever that is.
Several of her novels are set in rural West Lancashire, West Yorkshire and Wales. They frequently explore aspects of the three F's that are a constant in her own life: Food, Flowers and Friendship, and include delicious recipes at the back.
Nowadays she lives in North Wales and is the founder member of Novelistas Ink, a group of novelists, several of whom are bestselling, who meet regularly in North Wales.
She is a long-term member of the Society of Authors.
Trisha has a Penguin webpage at www.trishaashley.com where you can sign up for her newsletters and find all the latest book news.

I enjoyed it which it overlaps with previous books she’s written and past characters are mentioned.
In summary another favourite for my shelf.
Once I did, I became interested in some aspects of the story but not all.
It certainly isn't one of Trisha Ashley's best novels but nevertheless quite enjoyable.
This was really not at all her usual. It was far too long, yet still missing so much!
They are usually romantic books but in this the romantic story is just a side note. There is no chemistry between the two. The main character has no life and personality. The whole thing including the characters come off as almost robotic as if theyve been designed based on her previous books but not given life!
So little of the book is given to developing the couples relationship.
The book is so tedious. Generally her books do have a big portion of the daily banal in them but usually somehow it usually works. This did not. It is incredibly boring with far too much space given to dress making and the cat! It honesly doesn't feel like she wrote this book or if it she did her editor didnt bother to do their job. So irritated to have spent money on this.
The historical story included through diaries is incredibly depressing, I assumed there would be some pay off within it but nope.
For once instead of feeling cheered and warm after reading her books i just feel resentful of the hours wasted and seriously depressed!
No doubt will be thoroughly enjoyable as always and will update review once read.
I loved the idea of the Wedding Museum of Misfortune, with all the intricate clothing and stories surrounding each garment and it’s owner, both happy and sad, as Garland readies them for display letting each dress tell its own story, including that of her own.
We get to know a little of Rosa May through her journal, as we follow her own story and the mystery leading to her disappearance.
There are secrets and surprises aplenty that come to light within this wonderful storyline, and it’s so good, you won’t want it ever to finish ❤️📚

Also this is not actually about a wedding dress repair shop so whoever chose the title needs a shake.
