Images are low resolution, blurry/out of focus, nothing like the description. Everything about it is cheap, from the retractable cable which jams and the frequent loss of picture. This piece of junk is sold by various sellers on various sites, so if tempted by this listing, don't bother.

1 - it's zoomed in to the face way too much.
2 - the the light didn't work.
3 - it's too cheap for me to send back - it isn't worth it.
4 - I wanted so badly to not leave bad feedback as the person replied and said they'd give me 20% back off of the price but they haven't infact paid the money into my bank and the camera is such bad quality I wanted to warn people from buying it.
5 - REALLY SLOW to come. Took about 3 weeks when most people dispatch it within one or two days.

WORSE THAN USELESS... it has a pathetically short cable, flimsy switch, no instructions, and - here's the best bit - IT DOESN'T WORK. If I could have given less than 1 star, I would have. Also, it is NOT the "Teck Net" model shown in the photo - just some unbranded piece of rubbish. Save your money, just don't bother buying this useless piece of garbage.

First things first, if you want a webcam for Skype, etc. Look somewhere else, this isn't going to cut it. You will not find a decent webcam, for anything under £20. However, looking at these in the perspective of a home CCTV camera where quality doesn't fuss you, these are perfect. If you want something to look at shed so you can see if you've left it open, or to point out of your front window with a long USB extension to see if your car is still on your driveway then look no further. For little projects, or simple surveillance then these are great, however be warned, they sit between 8 and 12 FPS. Primarily at about 8.2 FPS. I knew before buying these weren't going to be filming in any form of High Definition, and for £2.11 I cannot complain on the 2 week wait. They have a mount for a tripod, variable light intensity (this is very sensitive, more of an on or off function). The inbuilt microphone is good enough to set off a recording on sound detection, but don't expect to be recording your next song through it. The button on top, as far as I can tell, has no function as it does nothing on either my PC or my laptop. Another thing to take into consideration is that the microphone plugs in separately to the camera USB via a 3.5mm Jack. So if you want to run a few of these, you will need a few audio recording jacks. They're £2.11 (at the time of review) so don't expect it to outlive you. The lens may blow out, the connection may come loose. Buy a couple if you want one, you can't guarantee any form of lifetime and there's no point waiting another 2 weeks for delivery. All in all, the picture is good and the focus range is ok (price considered). I was amazed, I've had them a month or so, and neither have died yet (after pretty much 24/7 use). In no way, are these a waste of money, great little cameras if you can understand what to expect for a price tag under £2.50.

This might sound a bit confusing, but here goes. The specification is not true (I suppose you guessed that) the actual resolution seems to be 640x426. It is recognised by the drivers on my mac (a pro 2010 running 10.9.5). The image quality is fantastic (as fantastic as you can get from a VGA camera, with loads of onboard sharpening), and the close focusing is amazing. I bought it for a project in mind, and since then I've ordered ten more. If you remove the ir filter (which is a pain. I drilled mine out, but be careful) it has pretty good response in the near ir. Could be used as a wildlife camera if you like taking pictures of the foxes in your garden (you'll need ir lighting).

Anyway, pretty cool, and at only £2.12 you really can't complain :D Fantastic.

Best not to use it as an actual webcam.

Attached is an image of a 5€ note after the ir blocking filter has been removed, with a ir pass filter used. If you look at a picture of a regular note you'll see the whole of the archway. The ir ink is a security device, as it's hard to forge.

Completely useless. Unbranded, so that picture is basically fraudulent. Lights don't work. Picture is permanently out of focus and incredibly dim, even in daylight setting. The thing basically falls apart in your hands, it's a total waste of money.

I wasn't expecting brilliance for less than a fiver, but at the very least I expected the damn thing to work.

Not 5 megapixel, more like 1...barely. Very low framerate, but picture is clear. I thought about using this for recording a close up of my craft(Twitch,YouTube) but it was not up to the job. The lens was very clunky to get it into focus, minimal settings available(brightness, gamma etc) Fps is 5-30 but I couldn't get 30fps unless im made it the smallest frame possible, I think it was 140x100 or something.

Its a good little cam for Skype and the mic picks up my voice well, not perfect. Ill stick to using my Xbox camera.

Thank you

Amazing value, if your prepared to wait for delivery, £2.11 is a ridiculous price, plug it in worked on P.C. win 10 using skype straight away. The only thing that could be a problem is that it uses a separate jack plug for the microphone, i.e. the cable supplied has a USB + jack plug. It even has a light source operated by a switch on the cable supplied. Does not fit through the letter box, postman had to knock, delivery was Royal mail.
